RBC Banking Advisor Intern (training) offer - Is this normal?
Hi everyone,
I recently received an offer from RBC for a Banking Advisor position. However, my offer letter says “Banking Advisor Intern”.
The offer is full-time, permanent, with salary, benefits, bonus eligibility, and a start date. It also mentions a 6-month training program and that I need to complete either the IFIC or CSC within that period.
I was wondering if this is the standard hiring process for new Banking Advisors at RBC, especially for people who don’t yet have the IFIC or CSC.
After completing the training and obtaining the required certification, do you automatically transition to the regular Banking Advisor role, or is there another evaluation or hiring process?
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this program. Thanks!
