Is there anything bad with the 48|58 wheelset?
I’m getting a really good deal from my lbs because most Factor owners prefer other wheelsets. I don’t understand why. It still has 23 mm internals, which isn’t necessarily bad. Sure, I’m not a fan of carbon spokes, but most wheels now come with carbon spokes. Besides that, the hubs are decent, and the specs are fine for the average rider. Am I missing something?
Monza Wheelset Upgrade
I am teetering on the edge of purchasing a Monza, but i'm puzzled by the wheels. The i.d. of the Black Inc wheels is 21mm and that seems a bit dated, i'd want to run 30 or perhaps 32mm and that would be less than optimal with the OEM wheels ....... has anyone had these thoughts before, what was the conclusion if you'd be so kind ?
JOINED THE FAMILY 🥰
Caught a pretty decent deal, including 4iii dual power meter. What a dream bike!
Thoughts on the Factor Monza
Hi, today I went to the Factor dealer and checked the Monza, I instantly loved it, the fork, the handlebar too, I want to use my XPLR Red that I have in my gravel bike and also put my Zipp 454 NSW wheels.
Any advices?.
I’m thinking to put 34mm GP5000 tires and a 48T chainring for start, we have hilly roads here, not sure if 50T would be good, and I’m getting a 56/L frame.
I’m between this build and a BMC Teammachine R01 with Force E1 and the ICS handlebar, using my wheels.
Factor Ostro VAM 2.0 - crank clearance issue
Everything is SRAM RED AXS MY24.
I recently changed the crankset on my Factor Ostro VAM 2.0 and now I have a strange clearance issue with the front derailleur.
As you can see in the photo:
- The front derailleur sits extremely close to the crank arm.
- At the same time, the chain is rubbing against the front derailleur cage.
- So moving the derailleur further outward does not seem like a simple solution, because the clearance to the crank arm is already almost zero.
Current spacer setup:
Drive side: 3 + 1 + 1 mm
Non-drive side: 3 mm
Bike Shop told me that the Ostro VAM 2.0 should use the standard SRAM crank spindle, not the Wide version.
I contacted Factor as well, but I haven't received an answer yet.
Anyone can help me?
2026 Factor One
Back with another unique build yall. ☺️☺️
Took some deciding on what to do for a build this season. After seeing the y1rs and everyone seemingly picking one up, I wanted something with similar speeds as my previous s5 but with a geo that fit my aggressive position without adding so much exorbitant amount of force on the seat tube due to saddle position.
Enter the Factor One. It’s different, fast, meets my geo needs and this “Blush” colorway is both loud and cute. 🥰
About me, the rider:
