found this young baby laying down next to some garage doors. no parents in sight and its not active at all. got the baby to move into nearby brush instead but im not sure if i should intervene or not…

need confirmation on my new baby :-) im counting 7 segments

my male camelomantis has literally out of nowhere started acting extremely erratic, hesitant, restless, twitches all of his limbs as if he wants to clean but doesnt (shown in video), also twitches his abdomen.

i have a bad bad feeling about this, i hope he’s just frustrated because he wants to mate but im not sure at all…or is he dying? as i said, this was very sudden.

or could he be hungry? he’s eaten at the start of this week but i havent had the chance to give him anything else except a drop of honey since i cant get more of my flies to hatch and im waiting for my order of new ones…

got his final molt yesterday and i was finally able to take a shot of his beautiful wings :-)
