Impact of Revealing the Salary to Family 🙄

Having worked in the IT industry for the last 20 years, I’ve found that revealing your salary to family is not advisable. Everyone will base their plans on their own experience rather than reality.

I eventually stopped even when I changed jobs.

Need a Card for a person who just landed to UAE with an employment

I need a card for a person who recently landed in the UAE with a job. He successfully opened an account with Mashreq.

Is there any bank that offers a card without requiring a salary?

Reached 4000 units with PGINVIT and am waiting for my first dividend.

I’ve reached 4000 units with PGINVIT. I heard they announced the dividend for this quarter and I’m looking forward to receiving my first dividend. My target is to achieve 10000 units.

Update: It would be really helpful if those downvoting could provide a comment with their advice.

Haven’t received the Welcome bonus from Mashreq!?

I applied for the Mashreq Platinum CC in April 2026 and spent AED 5,000 in April itself. However, I have not yet reviewed the welcome bonus of AED 750 that I was promised. Has anyone else applied in April and received the bonus? If so, what is the best way to get it?

Receiving My HSBC Live+ Card Today – Any Tips to Maximize the Joining Benefits?

I'm going to receive my HSBC Live+ credit card today and wanted to make sure I don't miss out on any of the joining benefits.

As per my understanding, the benefits include:

  • Spend AED 6,000 within 60 days to qualify for the AED 600 cashback offer.
  • Add the card to a mobile wallet and complete a transaction to receive an additional AED 100 cashback.
  • Apply for a supplementary card to receive another AED 100 benefit.

For those who already have this card:

  • Are there any tips or best practices to ensure I successfully receive all the joining benefits?
  • Are there any common mistakes to avoid while completing the requirements?
  • Are there any hidden perks, offers, or features of the HSBC Live+ card that new cardholders often overlook?

Would really appreciate any advice or tips based on your personal experience. Thank you!

NRI Experience: Invested ₹4L in TNPFC FD – Surprisingly Smooth Online Process

I recently came across TNPFC Fixed Deposits offering 8%+ interest rates and decided to invest ₹4 lakh as an NRI.

What impressed me the most wasn't just the attractive interest rate, but how smooth and seamless the entire online FD booking process was. I wasn't expecting such a hassle-free digital experience from a government-backed entity.

There was a minor glitch with the UPI payment step, but they promptly offered an alternate payment option, which worked perfectly.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, especially as an NRI looking to invest remotely. Sharing this in case other NRIs are exploring fixed deposit options with competitive returns.

Is ADIB Cash Back Card worth?

I recently got the ADIB cashback credit card with an annual fee of AED 103.95 including VAT.

This card offers 4% cashback without a minimum spend requirement.

My ENBD Duo card provides 5% cashback, but to qualify for that, a minimum spend of AED 5,000 is needed. My actual average monthly spend is around AED 3,000 to 3,500. I am unnecessarily pushing my spending up to AED 5,000 just to get the extra cashback.

What are your thoughts on this?

Etihad Rail - Booking Issue

I booked my Etihad Rail journey, filled in all the required information and proceeded with the payment. The payment was deducted from my bank card, but the ticket has not been issued and there is no booking information under my login details.

I called customer care and was told to wait an hour. I called again after two hours and was asked to share my bank statement. I have shared all the information and am awaiting their solution.

Is this the only issue I am facing or are others experiencing the same problem? Could you please advise how to get my booking confirmation or a refund?
