Like high school, may Intrams-esque event din ba ang UST?

Hello! I would just like to ask if UST has Intrams like it was during high school. You know, the pageant where each grade level of the school has a representative, sports you can join, etc.

My attention is mostly on the pageant thing, does UST have events like that? And if so, are students forced to, let’s say, represent their department? Or it’s voluntary and doesn’t force students to join.

Thank you for answering!

How to transfer to UPD Business Economics after freshman year

Hello! I am plotting how I can transfer to UPD Business Economics next year (yes I know the consequences of going back to freshman year). I am currently enrolled in UST and what are things I should do AND not do this freshman year in order to strengthen my case of successfully transferring to UPD?

What is the process and what should I put in my mind in this year of mine before transferring to UPD is open?

Should I still join orgs? And other questions like that.

Thank you very much for you answers. I’ll be sure to come back here next year when I am in UPD (hopefully)

Can someone explain how the new AI policy thing works?

So here’s the thing, I don’t fully understand what are things you now need to do when you use AI. Hear me out first.

There’s this note in one of my course, “AI Use Assessment Design: AI Assisted

•Cite all academic and verified reference sourcee used for each perspective using proper citations.

•Attach the accomplished AI use Declaration Form (in the Course Orientation folder under the Downloadable Forms section)

Firstly, I only use AI to enhance my ideas I made, get its opinion the work I made, ask questions about things I don’t understand, make the thing I wrote myself be shortened because I yap a lot.

So, what does this AI policy affect? And what do you need to do when passing your works through your canvas? I am really confused, and I’m also a freshman so it doesn’t help.

Is it allowed to go/stay inside of UST even if you have no onsite classes?

Will the guards stop you? Even if you are wearing civiliian clothes but you have your reg form or ID? Also, is it also okay to go there any day as with respect to the hours the campus is open? Thanks for answering.

Can sales be for you if you are soft hearted/sensitive?

Can sales be for you if you are soft hearted/sensitive?

I love sales. I like selling and I like connecting/talking with people. I like building relationships with people, just in general, getting to know what they do, how they do, etc. And I feel like my personality hits what being a salesperon is, too. When I sell something, I feel good about it and even better when I see what I have provided for them in return of the service I gave makes them happy. Oh and I love money.

However, I am pretty soft hearted/sensitive. I hate it. I'm also a guy, so it doesn't help. I think it's because of how my parents raised me. When I was young, when I did a mistake, I was always yelled at, which made me cry because I felt I made them disappointed. Even at times where I didn't do anything wrong and they misunderstood something, they'd yell at me, and those things made me cry even if I don't want to.

I think I still have that in me. I've even researched on how to not cry anymore just so it can stop at those moments. You can say I am emotional, but I don't want to be anymore.

I know there are a lot of times in sales where you can get yelled at and worse things. So that brings me back to my question, can it be for you if you are soft hearted/sensitive?

Thanks.

Can you go straight into sales as your first job after college? For those who did, how?

Hi everyone!

I’m an incoming **first-year BSBA major in Business Economics.**and one of my long-term career goals is to work in sales. I know it’s still early, but I’d like to make the most of my college years by preparing for that career as much as possible.

For those who landed a sales role as their first full-time job after graduating, what did your journey look like?

What did you do during college that made you a competitive applicant?

Were there any organizations, internships, competitions, certifications, or part-time jobs that helped you stand out?

What skills do recruiters and hiring managers actually look for in fresh graduates applying for sales roles?
If you could go back to your first year of college, what would you do differently?

I’m also trying to figure out which industries I should explore. Since Business Economics is fairly quantitative, I was wondering if there are industries where that background is particularly useful in sales. I’ve considered tech, finance, FMCG, and B2B sales,
but I’m open to learning about other paths as well.

I’d love to hear about your experiences, whether you’re currently in sales or started your career there. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is it okay to go inside UST as a freshie even if the classes/welcome walk has not started yet?

Hi! I’m planning to go inside UST (España side) and go out to Dapitan gate side, and then vice versa. Will the guards allow me to go inside UST if I show them my Registration Form? Or will they still ask me what my visit inside the campus is about.

Why? Well, I would like to go to Lauranne’s, but I don’t want to go around the campus to go there, so I would like to take a shortcut by going through UST!

Thank you!

Can you replace the uniform you bought at Lauranne’s?

Hello! I’ve recently bought my uniform at Lauranne’s, and upon checking the size of the uniform again, it’s now a bit too big for me. Are they kind enough to let me return the uniform I bought and replace it with a smaller size? Thank you!

First Day of Classes Introduction(?)

Hello! I am an incoming 1st year BSBA BE student, and I would like to know if during the first week of classes, do the profs make you introduce yourself? And if so, is there a segment for a creative introduction (i.e talent showcasing)?

As a shy person, I HATE these introduction parts when an SY starts, ESPECIALLY when they make you show your talent when you don’t even have any🥲

Thank you for your answers!

Enrollment

Hello! So I have a question about how the enrollment works. I messaged my college’s email and they said that the enrollment portal in the MyUste will open again in July 27, is the enrollment fully online? Or will there still be stuff I need to pass to their office?

Thank you!
