Let someone get too close then they rejected me

Hey guys I really just need to vent about something. I (38 F) have been ENM with my husband for almost a decade but we only started playing separately about 2 years ago.

Typically in my experiences I meet some cool people and we hook up on and off and it’s very casual and we text maybe once a month.

Recently I met a younger guy at a bar and initially I wasn’t interested because I felt he was too young for me, but I did give him my number for haha’s and we started texting. I tried to keep it chill and initially didn’t match his energy- he was texting me pretty much every day and complimenting me a lot. Over time I started to lean into it and realized he was a really cool dude and we had a lot in common.

Pretty soon we were texting all the time and talking on the phone. This has not been my experience with any other play partners. In my gut I felt hesitant about getting so close with someone but it felt good at the same time?

We finally had sex and it was really good. He showered me with more compliments and made me feel so sexy. We had sex again about 5 days later. Then more texting and phone calls. I was leaving for a trip this week and we got together one more time and of course had sex again. Everything seemed great but as soon as he left I felt this energy shift. No text afterward (which was very unlike him) and a day later I texted him about a movie he wanted me to watch and he took about 8 hours to respond (also very unlike him). Now he is just straight up ghosting me.

I feel so dumb because I think I let him get wayyy too close and I know better. I’m getting flashbacks of some of the fuckboys I dated in college. Love bomb, have sex, then bounce. I also think I made a mistake hooking up with someone young and immature. I thought he was mature for his age but this is soooo telling. I’m just really disappointed in myself.

Rulla looks so dumb

I’m not even talking about the new nose. She is making herself look like such a fool by coming at Jo Ellen so hard and still insisting Brian wasn’t cheating. I cackled when she asked Andy if she could show the “proof” that Brian was in surgery that day. Girl… do you have any idea how stupid you look?

Brian played her like a fiddle over and over again and convinced her everything was AI/doctored/photoshopped/fake news so that any time proof emerged he could keep using the same excuse.

She is attacking Jo Ellen for simply pointing out the obvious and bringing attention to Brian’s atrocious behavior. The madder she gets at Jo Ellen the stupider she looks. And Rulla is so desperate to disparage her she is grasping at straws, bringing up her behavior in high school as if that’s some sort of gotcha moment?!? How pathetic. She’s a low IQ individual and I have zero desire to watch her on my screen.

What songs have you done that were “risky” but the audience loved them?

Risky, as in, you weren’t sure if the song would land or not. My recent one was Viva la Vida by Coldplay. Glad I did it! Please share yours- I’m always looking for off-the-beaten-path suggestions!

I had never heard of this one but gave it a watch last night and I loved it. It’s textbook slow-burn psychological horror. And Ashley Judd and Michael Shannon have great performances in this.
