What do you hope is carried over/left out of RF6 from GoA?

I’m having a lot of fun with GoA and it’s got me even more excited for RF6, but I’ve been thinking of some of the newer mechanics and gameplay things I’d like to see kept and what I’d like to see go back to a more traditional RF way.

I like the way items are collected in GoA a lot, and feel like it’s more a qol improvement than a mechanic so I hope it stays, but I’m not a HUGE fan of having villagers and managing towns and not really having a “home”. I like it for this game, but I don’t really hope it returns. I also don’t like some of the friendship mechanics but I do like the party system. I wish I could just give gifts to villagers, and it’s kind of a hassle to track them down between towns. It’s not a big problem since you can warp but everyone being in one place really helps keep track of who I’ve talked to and hung out with. Speaking of, the “hang out” option is cool and I’d like to see it return.

I’m basically just rambling my thoughts as they come to me, but I want to hear everyone’s thoughts! I figured this might be a fun discussion.

Pairing Roku remote to an older Sony TV

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-32L5000 and I’ve gone through all 50 TV Codes and hear the music the whole time. I know this is an older tv so it might now work but just wondering if maybe I’m doing something wrong or if someone maybe has the same tv and figured something out. I got the tv for like $20 at goodwill so if I have to get up to change the volume I won’t complain too much just wanted to reach out.

GoZ is on sale right now on Amazon!

Just in case there’s anyone out there like me who doesn’t buy games as soon as they come out 🤣

The switch version is $20, and the ps5 version is $30. Really excited to finally play this game, so wanted to let everyone else know.

Edit: Sorry I meant GoA I made this post in a daze after waking up 🤣

Any settings to help RF5 run better on switch?

Title basically. Just wondering if there’s any settings I can fiddle with to make the game run a little better. It’s crashed twice and chugs a bunch while I’m playing and it’s annoying as hell.

Just started RF5, any tips?

So I finished my playthrough of RF:ToD, which is my favorite game of the series, and I started RF5, and it’s feeling very different and kinda… backwards? If I didn’t know any better I’d assume ToD was the newer game.

Anyway, I have no idea what I’m doing, don’t know the characters, I don’t know what they like or how friendship works in this game, don’t really know the mechanics fully, so I’m wondering what tips there are to make money and get friends and crafting recipes.

I think going from a fully upgraded house and having a million dollars is making the game seem more daunting than it actually it, but I still don’t know the best beginner tips for RF5.

Games that scratch the RF itch?

Pretty fair question, might have been asked a bunch and if so I apologize, but I’m wondering what other games there are that have the same feel as RF. Once I finish all of these games I know I’m going to want more and I want some recs to keep an eye out for when I’m out and about. Thanks in advance!

Went kinda nuts on terrain last few days

All the rock stuff is just foam, mod podge, and paint. Buildings (besides the 2 on the bottom left) are 3D printed and the rubble is foam and small rocks from Walmart. The tops of the ruined buildings are paper mache with mod podge and paper towel. I’ve been having a blast making all this and can’t wait to play with it with the Hextech stuff I’ve bought.

Extruder grinding filament in half

So I've started a few prints the last few days and noticed that it will start the print pretty normally, especially after I've taken everything apart and loaded new filament and cleaned the hotend several times, but then it'll stop and I noticed that the filament grinded it and I could just pull it out from right where between the gear is. I don't know if it's extruding too fast, or what's going on, but this thing is really frustrating.

If anyone needs any more information I can try my best to provide it.

Help?

Printer keeps starting to print and then this happens? Has anyone encountered this before and know how to fix it, or what might be happening? I got it off a friend for free and I’m trying to get it to work and am completely lost.

Getting started with Alpha Strike

So I just ordered the Alpha Strike box, and I’ve been meaning to do so for a while. I’m excited to play, and kind of wondering, if I like it, what are some good accessories/other game pieces that I might want to make the experience more enjoyable, and where do I go from here? Are there any other good starter boxes worth trying? Are the models in the Alpha Strike box compatible with other models? One of the stores around me has some more, which is what got me interested in the game in the first place. I’m just kinda looking for some direction. I know Alpha Strike is kind of a separate set of rules, can I use the models I get to play the other way if I want to try it out? Basically any information about the game that’s good for a new player is welcome.

I’ve also always wanted to try making terrain for tabletop games. Is that a good thing to do with this?
