I've been having quite the Odyssey trying to build an air-cooled 9850x3D in a Nanoq S. Finally did it and it's working nicely so far!

Temps during idle and light work range from 55-60 with minimal fan noise. Gaming (RE requiem) is around 70-75. Pretty pleased with this build. I will try a few more taxing games to decide if I want to back to AIO in here.

I tried an air slimmer in my Nanoq S (atmos II 240mm). It was way too buzzy. I switched it to anoctua slim, but I'm still not impressed with the noise profile. I was hoping for something very quiet during idle/light tasks. I don't mind hearing the air move but the hum is very annoying. I have a 9850x3D and I'm going to try switching to air cooling. Just wondering if anyone with this case has any tips for AIO in case there's something I'm not thinking of with this fan.

I was able to install the pny5080 slim in my T1 case. To do so I had to Gap the GPU using risers, so the rear GPU bracket no longer lines up with the GPU screw holes. Does anybody have a creative solution for this? I have the travel bracket on the back so I'm comfortable that it's mostly secure, but long-term I would like to have it fully connected

I just opened my new Atmos cooler. There is some white residue on the sides of the radiator, but it doesn't seem like it's leaking. Nothing feels oily or greasy. Could this be talcum from shipping? Or something else? Do I need to return this? Is there a way to ensure nothing has leaked out?
