Old man Betty Blue is a rescue from 1995, estimated by the reptile vet specialist to be at least 10years old way back then. He is half blind and missing a toe, had been wounded, and the area he was found in was being totally cleared. Great thing was he healed well, loves to be pampered, hand fed and cuddled. He has been an educator, helping many school kids to realise how important our native wildlife is and how we can help them. He has had two major surgeries during Covid, just to make things extra hard, but he’s just as strong, handsome and amazing as always. Blue tongue skinks have always surprised and impressed me as one of the most fantastic creatures and companions - may we both grow old together forever my love

Usually it’s my dog that shows up every time I sit down with a snack, but this mad team constantly helps me out in the garden and keeps the crawlies away + make sure the March flies don’t get me. They come every day to patrol and to sing me songs of love ❤️
