I hate A tousend splendid Suns and kite runner books by Khalid Hussaini

I am afghan and whenever I meet foreigners I am asked If I have read these books or not

And I hate it

I hate reading books that are about Afghanistan especially the bad side because I have seen the bad side my whole life and reading everything you have endured is not really pleasant

I am a girl so obviously I have experienced many things like the characters in the a thousand splendid Suns and I am a HAZARA sooo I have lived the kite runner too they are so well written and are masterpieces but I don't like them because they remind me of ME

I just don't wanna be asked if I have read those books or not

Is it too much????

Please share your opinions with me I really don't know if I am posting this in the right sub or not but please tell me if I am feeling right or maybe I am overreacting

As a shia Muslim have you ever faced unfair treatment in your own country where people are mostly Sunni Muslims?

I am an afghan shia and we have faced a lot like a lot

Of unfair treatment not just unfair treatment we are killed for fun

And I'm just curious if it's the same for shia people in other countries

I am an afghan illigal immigrant in Pakistan AMA

Btw I came to Pakistan with visas and have been living here ever since the Taliban took over Afghanistan also the pk government just doesn't provide any visas to afghan immigrants like me so as I can't return to my country because of the Taliban I am currently an illigal immigrant 🙂
