I’ve been on the hunt for Indian mangoes, specifically dasheri. I’ve joined all the sketchy WhatsApp groups I can find to no avail. Does anyone know where I should check?

I'm posting this because there's one that really steams my hams every time I see it.

For some reason Google Maps, when you're driving through Excelsior, absolutely loves to recommend an unprotected left hand turn onto Mission from one of the streets perpendicular to Alemany. This is dumb, because Mission is a busy street that feels dangerous to turn left on every time, and Silver is right there a couple blocks away, protected and safe.

In fact Google Maps will recommend this nutty route even when you're trying to go down Silver, which makes even less sense: instead of taking Alemany then turning directly right onto Silver, it will say take Alemany, turn right onto a residential street then turn left onto Mission, then turn right again onto Silver. It's a terrible suggestion and puts you on a risky path to save a paltry 10s, if that.

What are some others where you can guide us better than Google or Apple Maps?
