Hot take: doomies was okay- *sheilds face*

I always see vegans AND non vegans raving about doomies. I went to the sunset location before they closed and got the 2 piece chicken with mashed potato’s and Mac because that’s what I see everyone order online. I felt like the chicken was not the best I’d tasted. Like plant power tenders I think tasted better. Aesthetic wise, it looks like kfc chicken so I get why people get hyped about it. But the taste on its own, I didn’t think was worth raving about. Maybe in a sandwich would be better. The mash and Mac was also ok. The cherry chocolate cake was pretty good though.
So did I order the wrong thing?

About to have a baby and worried about food during postpartum

So this kind of just occurred to me but I’m due in like a few days and I forgot to meal prep like I wanted to so that I wouldn’t have to worry about cooking while freshly postpartum. I’m going to have family over helping for a few days but unfortunately, I know they won’t know how to cook vegan food..
I may have time to prep a few things but would appreciate suggestions for easy meals as I’m already so tired and still have other things I need to prep.

Listing simple ingredients to have in the house for me to make a quick meal would also be helpful

Or, does anyone have any nutritious vegan meal prep services they know of? I’m based in Long Beach

What is the difference between sitz bath and Epsom salt?

I looked at the ingredients for sitz bath and it contains Epsom salt. But I searched on the web if I could just use straight up Epsom salt which I already have, and it recommended against using it when freshly postpartum. Is sitz bath safe then? I want to know if I should buy it or not because online it’s like $30

What is vegan at gusto bread in Long Beach?

This place gets a lot of hype and there’s always a line out the door. I get the impression that their foods are made with pretty clean ingredients. So what’s available besides sourdough bread?

Salvageable or trash?

I have this big aloe from when I lived on the beach and it gave birth to like 3 other aloes. The thing it that quite a few of my plants had suffered with mealy bugs infestation for a few years now. I think they caught them from the other wild plants around my apartment. I tried just about everything. I want to get rid of them now because I don’t want the damn bugs to spread onto other plants. Should I throw them all out or give them away?

I’ve neglected them for about a year now and as you can see they are fully covered.

They used to get full light, now they get partial light. But that hasn’t affected them at all really.
I tried blasting with water and changing the dirt once, then sprayed with solution. but the bugs persisted

Best pedicure spa around?

I’m pregnant and due this month and wanted to treat myself to a BOMB somewhat Luxurious spa type gel pedicure. The whole treatment.

I’ve been to nails bb which was nice a few times until I went to someone who didn’t cure the gel right and it all peeled off a few days later.

My go-to is gem nails on 2nd st. But I was curious about what was out there.

Massage chair is a must! I like kiwi nails on 2nd st but not for pedicure because they don’t have a massage chair.

I’m also okay if it’s a bit of a drive

Seriously, what’s the deal with the stray dogs?

What is the point of the stray dogs of Varrock? What is their story? Do we benefit off of feeding or petting them in any way? I always pet the hell out of them and feed them all the meats and bones because I love dogs so freaking much and I feel so bad for them because they’re all covered in hair and look beaten up. But in the end it all feels empty because I don’t even think that my gifts are being tracked or remembered in any way.
I know this is such a dumb thing to get stuck on but I think about them all the time. I’ve been playing this game for years!

I’m once again begging Panda Express to bring back beyond orange chicken

I’m currently 8 months pregnant and had been craving it my entire pregnancy. Also I know for a fact that I’m not the only person on the internet who’s been missing it. It’s constantly mentioned in the vegan community. I occasionally email corporate asking for them to bring it back. What else do I need to do? That tofu eggplant is no bueno.

Help me find this vine/tiktok

I’ve had the sound for this clip in my head and idk if it was a TikTok, for vine. But pretty sure it’s a vine.
The one where someone is saying some nonsense words like “carpletickledacktyle” and the other person is anxious and confused and says “what?!”
And then the first person repeats “CARPLE-TICKLE-DACTYLE!” It’s supposed to be like an anxious dream or trance

I also have more vines I can’t find. What is a good subreddit where I am able to ask?

I’m pregnant and craving vegan kbbq/hot pot

Any suggestions? I’m in Long Beach and I’m craving kbbq, shabu, or hot pot. You know the kind where you cook it at the table. There is Sura near by but it’s $80 for two and I thought it was decent. Thought the bugolgi there could be more flavorful. More interested in trying something new. If it’s cheaper, also a plus. I’m ok if it’s not a fully vegan establishment and I’m ok if it’s a bit of a drive.

I hate my boobs D:

I’ve never really liked my boobs. I have big and dark areolas and small boobs. Now I’m pregnant and the areolas have doubled in size and my boobs are only slightly bigger than before. I can’t see myself ever being happy with my boobs so I’m trying to figure out what I can do to make myself feel better about it eventually. I’ve heard that there’s areola surgery’s that can decrease the size by like in inch or two, but does it look natural? I might eventually want a boob job as well. What country would be best to go to for a good and more affordable boob job?

Any other suggestions on what I can do to feel better about my boobs that are less invasive? Tattoo ideas?

Dog friendly beaches?

Planning a trip to Catalina in a couple weeks. I know that I would need to bring my dog in a muzzle and have paperwork. She’s a Chesapeake and loves to swim so I’m wondering what beaches are dog friendly? Are they easy to access?

Will baby feel my sadness ?

Lost my dog of 12 years today and it was very traumatic. I’m very sad and will be like a thunderstorm for the next few months I’m sure. I’m 7months pregnant right now though and will try to do everything to make myself feel more positive and eat healthy and such. I’m worried that baby might be affected by what I’m feeling. Do we share emotions?

What do vegans do for kids for Halloween

I know this is random to talk about in May lol but I’m about to have a baby and was thinking about all the cute costumes he’s going to wear but then started to wonder what trick or treating will be like. I’m not completely opposed to letting him eat whatever candy he gets but I’m also not a big fan of that. Candy in general isn’t good for toddlers but going out and walking around with other kids, I believe, is a really fun and important tradition. Have any vegan parents ever taken their kids to fun events that don’t involve an overload of candy?

Why is it so hard to find a doula???

I have Kaiser and it’s covered as long as the doula can take Kaiser clients. I’m 25 weeks now and have been looking for months! I’ve reached out to dozens and have been only been able to set up online meetings/phone calls with like 6. One got booked up immediately, some never respond to initial reach out, most are just so bad with communication and I haven’t been able to just get to the point where I can start a first in person meeting with a doula. I’ve looked at different sites and checked in with nearby doula communities, hit up some people recommended to be, and nothing. I keep getting to the point where I send my info in and just don’t get any response after that. It just seems so unprofessional. Don’t they want to work? Do they like their field of work? Anyone else have this problem?

Didn’t think it would be so hard in Los Angeles county. I just want to be able to start asking a doula questions and get help with my birth plan :(

I’m having a baby shower in June for like 40 people and am getting quotes from places I know but I feel like there’s more businesses out there that I’m forgetting. Any suggestions? Doesn’t have to be an entirely vegan establishment. Just looking for vegan friendly catering. Going to go with the cheapest and best option
