Has anyone found a way to actually be prepared for back-to-back conversations without a week of prep?

Conference season got me thinking about how much prep time goes in versus how little of it transfers into the actual conversations.

The research part I've figured out. What I can't solve: in the middle of a busy day with 10 different conversations, switching between people, I lose track of what I already know about each person. The notes exist. I can't access them fast enough between conversations.

For anyone doing high-volume relationship work: how do you make the context you've built actually available in the moment? Not at your desk with 30 minutes, literally in the gap between one conversation ending and the next one starting.

When does it actually make financial sense to replace an old appliance?

I’m planning a kitchen remodel and trying to figure out if replacing my old fridge is actually worth it financially or if I’m overthinking it. It’s around 10 to 12 years old and still working fine, so I’m not sure if upgrading now would really save me anything or just add unnecessary cost.

At the same time, my microwave has been acting up and randomly shuts off, so I’m also debating if that’s something worth repairing or just replacing. How do you guys usually decide this, do you actually calculate costs or just go with what feels right? Also, if anyone knows reliable local stores for appliances, I’d appreciate the suggestions.

Figured out my stress acne after going internal instead of adding more products

Three months of a genuinely awful period at work and my skin became unrecognisable. Not just more breakouts, different breakouts. Faster, more inflamed, slower to heal. The kind that show up before a stressful event like they got the memo early.

The cortisol connection is real. Stress elevates cortisol, cortisol tells the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum, more sebum means more congestion and inflammation. It's a direct pathway, not a coincidence.

What shifted things for me was addressing the stress response internally. A few things that come up consistently in this space: ashwagandha for cortisol regulation is probably the most widely discussed, reishi mushroom has adaptogenic properties that support the stress response more broadly, and some acne supplements include 5-HTP specifically because of the cortisol connection. I use mindbodyskin by clearstem which has 5-HTP alongside DIM and B5, there's a version without it for anyone on SSRIs. Nutrafol skin is another one that comes up in hormonal acne conversations.

None of this is a replacement for dealing with what's causing the stress but for the skin side of it the internal route made a real difference for me.

Does anxiety even qualify for an ESA letter or do landlords get to decide that

Anxiety is one of the most common conditions that qualifies for ESA accommodation under the Fair Housing Act but landlords keep acting like it doesnt count, like its not serious enough which makes zero sense because FHA doesnt even have a list of specific diagnoses that qualify lol, it just requires a disability and documentation showing the animal provides therapeutic benefit for managing symptoms

The part where landlords try to question the severity of someones anxiety or demand to know the exact diagnosis is not something they can do under federal law at all, housing providers cant request detailed medical records and they cant play doctor about whether a condition is "real enough" when a licensed provider already confirmed the accommodation is necessary

ESA letters need disability confirmation, an explanation of how the animal helps with symptoms, and proper credentials from a licensed mental health professional. Most legitimate providers carry licenses in the states where they practice because it strengthens the documentation. Landlords who think they get veto power over a medical professionals recommendation are overstepping what FHA allows and most of them know it but they count on people not pushing back fr

Tired of feeling like I need to justify wearing a spring mini dress at 38

Every spring I go through the same internal debate about whether a mini dress is still appropriate for me and I'm genuinely done with it. I'm 38, I take care of myself, I love fashion, and I want to wear the cute floral mini dresses that are everywhere right now without the background noise of "is this age appropriate."

It frustrates me so much that nobody would even blink if a 25 year old wore the exact same dress. The dress doesn't change. The occasion doesn't change. The only variable is my age and I'm supposed to add ten inches to my hemline because of a number.

I know this sub has strong opinions on the "wear whatever you want" non advice thing so I'm not asking for permission. I'm more curious whether anyone else has had to actively work through this mentally and what shifted the thinking. Because intellectually I know it's fine and emotionally I still second guess it every single time.

I’ve gone through like 6–7 IPTV services this year and almost gave up completely. Either bad support, buffering issues, or random outages.

Tried Flixaria recently and it’s been surprisingly smooth.

Channels load quickly

Minimal buffering even during peak time

Decent sports coverage

UI isn’t overly complicated

What I liked most is that it just works without constant tweaking. Didn’t have to mess around with settings or switch players 10 times.

Still testing it long-term, but first impressions are honestly better than most services I’ve used before.

Curious if anyone here has long-term experience with it.

launching a retail concept in dubai in about 3 months and i have a marketing budget that is real but not unlimited. i need to make decisions about where to put it and i am getting very different advice from different people.

some say tiktok is non negotiable for any consumer facing brand in this market right now. some say instagram is still where the purchasing decisions actually happen in the UAE. some say influencer partnerships are the fastest way to build credibility. some say just do google and meta ads and do not overthink organic.

i genuinely do not know who is right and i suspect the answer is different for different categories. anyone who has launched a consumer brand in dubai recently, what did the first 6 months actually look like and what would you do differently?

Pessoal, tudo bem?

I've read the standard advice so many times, you know buy in bulk, meal prep, use coupons. And some of it is fine but a lot of it assumes you have enough money upfront to buy in bulk, or enough time to coupon clip, or enough variety in your diet to make batch cooking worth it when you're eating the same five things anyway. When the budget is tight it is hard to work around these things so I want to know if any of you have found something that works for keeping the food budget down when there's barely any buffer.
