Felt like something a cat would say... Going with a Russian Blue gave me the excuse to design the video in a old Russian propaganda art-style.

I'm hoping someone can help me understand what's going on with the new Extend feature in Veo.

When I try to extend a clip using Veo Lite, I get a "1 reference(s) disabled" message every time.

If I switch to Gemini Omni Flash, it doesn't actually extend the clip. Instead, it generates a different scene rather than continuing the existing one.

I've also tried adding the clip to a scene, but the clip doesn't appear there at all.

I have the Ultra plan and I'm not using the Agent workflow.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior, or am I missing something?

I've always loved old-timey Tin Pan Alley music and the Max Fleischer rubber-hose animation style. (The guy makes a cameo appearance.) Fleischer Studios never had Disney or Warner Bros. money, so they went surreal, transgressive, and heavily influenced by German Expressionism. Pretty solid choices.

My single scene Psycho-Comedy is janky at points... But then again, so is life.
