Tink tem🤔🤔

Was thinking, one day all of us will leave, and move on with our lives, do you think anyone will remember the time that they spent here? Or the people that they talked to?
Or will all of this just be a forgotten memory?

Can ya'll speak your native language?

So I was just randomly wondering,
How many of ya'll can speak your native language?

Pakistan is ethnically quite diverse, with many ethnic groups residing in it, each with their own distinct identity, culture and language, and the preservation of any identity, culture and language, etc, is dependent on the new generation, the younger generation, meaning us.

While Urdu is the national and official language of Pakistan, it is not the native language of many, except for Urdu-speaking Muhajjirs I believe ( I am not sure on this do correct me if I am wrong).

However, I have noticed that a lot of the younger generation just sticks to Urdu, and don't get me wrong, I am not saying that this is wrong in any way, knowing how to speak Urdu is a must, as it is our national language and also because Urdu serves as a lingua-franca, so I am in no way saying that one shouldn't learn Urdu.

But I believe that we should preserve our native identities as well, after all, they play a big part in our identity, and each identity in Pakistan traces back their roots in history for centuries, we shouldn't just simply let them disappear. Diversity is one of the things that makes Pakistan unique, and I believe that it could even serve to be one of our strengths ( even though unfortunately sometimes it is proven otherwise, but nevertheless, that is simply because this diversity is exploited in this country by those in power )

Now, I would like to make it clear that I do not intend to shame anyone for not being able to speak their native language, in fact, I do not think it is our fault that many of us aren't able to speak them, instead I believe that this has something to do with the generation before us and other factors regarding this issue, because I think many of us don't know how to speak them, simply because we weren't taught how to speak them.

But we should be the ones to change that, truth be told, even I am not that fluent in my native tongue, but that shouldn't stop us from trying to preserve our traditions, and more importantly, to preserve our identity.

There are many online sources available nowadays that can help you, however there is an even better resource for you lying just under your nose, your elders! I am sure that in most families the elders still speak their native tongue, so you can easily learn step-by-step by spending time with them, and trying to talk with them in it.

Lastly, I would like to mention, this is just my perspective, if you think otherwise, or have a different opinion, feel free to share it! : )

Imma say it again, ya tu kuch kar lo ya chup hojao.

Okay so regarding all of the hate this subreddit has been facing, I wanted to share my opinion on things.
Now firstly, this subreddit was created as a safe space for Pakistani teens, where they could come and sort of treat it as a retreat, they could post stuff regarding serious topics or topics that promoted thoughtful discussion, or less serious stuff as well, like memes and shitposts, basically it was a safe space for all.
Now, as of now, this subreddit is mostly filled with shitposts and memes, and many people have an issue with that, because they say they want a balance, and I agree there should be a balance.
Lekin ab ye bhi tu dekho, har banda aake yahan posts kar deta hai, aur un mei roona shuru kar deta hai, ke yahan ye nahi hoo raha wo nahi hoo raha, log cringe hai, yahan sirf 8-10 log hi ek dusre se baat karte, ye nahi hai, wo nahi hai.

BHAI AP KHUD BHI TU KUCH CONTRIBUTE KAR LO?

Matlab agar apko lag raha hai ke yahan koi high-effort posts nahi kar raha aur na hi koi sun raha hai, tu take matters into your on hands and contribute something, and become an example?

Matlab khud kuch karna hai nahi, pus dusron pe daal dena aur kehna ke ye log kuch kar lein.

Aur agar yahan koi shitposts hi karta hai, so what? unki marzi? it is a free space, we are allowed to post whatever we want, u cant control what anyone can post, but you can control what you post, so maybe make the effort?

And lastly, if u genuinely think that the people here are cringe, sure that is your opinion, and you are entitled to it, but keep in mind, that those "cringe" people are not entitled to your opinion or you in anyway, they aren't gonna change themselves just because YOU don't like how they act, for ffs sake this was a safe space for teens, let us act like how we want, because we aren't really able to truly be ourselves in our real life, that is why most of us our here.

And regarding the, "yahan sirf 10 log ek dusre se baatein karte rehte", well how about you comment something too and join in?
Yes it might seem a bit daunting as they are people you have never talked to before, but in my opinion people here r quite welcoming, I was a new comer just a month ago too, but I took the first step, and I started commenting and I was never made to feel that I was excluded from conversations.

Ab wo log khud uth ke ap ko dm tu nahi karien ge if they dont even know who u r?

And if someone is rude, and makes u feel left out, then that in no way is justified, contact the mods, that is what they are here for, for moderation, and report them.

So imma say it again,

Ya tu kuch kar lo, ya chup hojao.

Ya tu kuch kar lo ya chup hojao

"This sub has become so dry"
"This sub has become so cringe"
"This sub has fallen off"
"What even happens in this sub anymore"
You are entitled to your opinion, and if you really think that way, maybe put some effort to change things? Instead of complaining to others, why don't you take the first step yourself.
Matlab bar bar ek hi jeisi posts, kisi ne kuch karna hai nahi bus complain karte raho, sirf kehne se kuch nahi hota amal karo.
btw not targeted towards anyone.

How strict is the checking in 10th?

Assalamualaikum!
I have just finished my 10th exams (in Pakistan), and I wanted to ask those who have already given their 10th exams, and are now in FSC, that is it true the marking is wayy stricter than in 9th?
Like is it not lenient at all?
Or would you say it is lenient, just not as much as in 9th?
The thing is I am stressing tf out because everyone says it is harder to get marks in 10th😭😭
And, may all of your exams go well, with the grace of Allah, for those who are about to give their board exams (Ameen!). Hoping the best for all of you.
I would appreciate every input!
Jazakallah Khair!💗💗

So, I recently got into Classical Hindustani Music, and while I am still learning more about it and am in no way an expert on this topic, I still wanted to share something that I recently learnt, it is called a "Bandish"
A Bandish is a fixed, melodic composition in Hindustani vocal or instrumental music. It is derived from the Hindustani language, and it literally means "Binding together", and in my opinion it is just beautiful, Bandish is usually done in the Bhraj language (it is essentially a Hindi dialect), but it is also done in Urdu, Sansikrit etc.
I wanted to share this here because I have noticed that not a lot of Pakistanis don't really know much about our musical tradition, even though, in my opinion, we have one of the richest musical legacies ever.
The above video is an example of a Bandish! :P
Examples of Pakistani artists who have performed Bandish include, Ustad Nazakat Ali Khan,Ustad Salamat Ali Khan, Ustad Fateh Ali Khan etc.
Lemme know if u want me to share more posts regarding classical Hindustani music, or Pakistani music in general!
