1 mg: anyone have success?

I am aiming to start on 1 mg Tirz for both physical and mental health purposes, I also only have about 10-15 lbs to lose and I feel like I would benefit most from low and slow. I know everyone's journey is different and someone might feel the impact of a dose as low as 0.5, while someone else might need quadruple that to start seeing results. Has anyone here started and stayed on 1 mg and experienced any weight loss, reduction in food noise and inflammation and any othr benefits, or did you have to titrate up?

How to deal with a break in claim?

I first filed my claim on 8/3 because after being laid off in mid April, my severance ran out on 7/31 or so I thought. On around 8/11, I found out I would be receiving an additional, unexpected final severance payment on 8/15. By then I had already been approved and received my estimated weekly rate. I hadn't accounted for this extra payment.

When I went to file for the week that I got the last severance installment, I claimed I made more than $869. Because I did, and I don't see the point in lying. Anyway, when I went to claim this week, it's telling me there was a break in my unemployment. I guess it looks like the week I made that severance, I worked full time or something. It was just an unexpected final payment. There isn't really space to explain this and I know calling is impossible. Has anyone dealt with this? Is this just going to delay things for me further? It's only been 3 weeks since my initial claim and waiting week but unfortunately this is an added stressor because I never would have filed UI until after if I knew I was getting that last severance!

Unexpected Severance Payment after Claiming

I think I am in a bit of a pickle. My former HR contact and the job I was laid off from told me last month that my final severance payment would be 7/31. With that in mind, I started my UI claim on 8/4. As of today, it's still in the processing phase and I did receive a monetary determination letter but that's all. I also claimed today for last week as instructed.

Today, my former workplace contacted me and told me I would actually be receiving one final severance payment on 8/13 as the actual final installment. I know I had just started my claim and it will be weeks before any approval, but I am concerned that this will either delay things further in a best case scenario or in a worst case scenario, make the claim be rejected.

Is there anything I can do online to amend my claim or just make it clear this was totally unexpected and I wasn't aware I was receiving one more payment? Has this happened to anyone else? Obviously if I knew I'd be getting one more severance installment I would have waited to file until after 8/14!

Relief for long term disordered eating?

First, thank you to everyone in this sub for cultivating such a respectful and open-minded space. I’ve been lurking and really appreciate how questions like this are usually met with nuance and kindness.

My situation isn’t unique, but I’m being extremely cautious and intentional because of my history.

I’m 40 and have a very long history of disordered eating that began around age 11. I was hospitalized for anorexia as a preteen. While my weight has technically been “normal” since then, I’ve spent decades struggling with restriction, body dysmorphia, obsessive calorie counting, and constant food noise. It feels like I’ve been white-knuckling things for years just to maintain a healthy weight.

The food noise is relentless. I go to bed thinking about food, wake up thinking about food, and spend so much mental energy planning, calculating, and resisting. I’m exhausted.

In the last few years, despite being very mindful of calories and exercising frequently (sometimes obsessively), my weight has slowly crept up. I’m currently around a BMI of 24 but subjectively feel puffy and soft for lack of a better word. I suspect years of restriction have done a number on my metabolism, but regardless, it feels like I’m fighting my body nonstop. And I'm getting older.

I’ve been reading a lot about tirzepatide microdosing, and for the first time in a long time, I feel a little hopeful. My primary goal is not extreme weight loss. Ideally, I’d like to lose about 10-15 lbs, which would put me at a weight that has historically felt healthy for me. But even more than that, I’m seeking relief from the constant food noise and obsessive thinking so I can improve my overall quality of life.

My biggest concerns:

Has anyone here with a history of restrictive eating disorders or other EDs tried microdosing?

Did it help with food noise without triggering old patterns?

How did you prevent losing too much weight?

I’m actually more afraid of losing too much than not losing enough, which feels like progress in my recovery compared to years ago. I genuinely don’t want to be underweight or obsessive. I want peace, mental space, and a healthier relationship with food and my body.

I know this is a rough topic and I’m looking for just experiences, perspectives, and things to consider. If you’ve been in a similar place, I’d really appreciate hearing from you!

If you received severance, when did you start your claim?

I have gotten a lot of mixed messages and conflicting information so I wanted to check. If my severance runs through 7/31 (biweekly payments that started on 5/1), should I start my claim now or wait until 8/1? I understand it may be weeks before I see any movement but wanted to get started sooner rather than later. For those of you who had a severance that was paid over a period of time, what was your experience filing like and when did you file? Thank you

Best Astoria heatwave eats

What are everyone's favorite things to eat in our hood when it's 102 degrees out and too hot to cook? I'm thinking poke bowls, big salads, Ralph's ices, those frozen slushes they were making by United Brothers would definitely hit the spot. Saint James makes insanely good guacamole.

Any other favorite food and drinks to keep cool that you'd recommend?

New to Trillium and concerned about dosing

Hi Trillium community! I am going to be placing my order this week and I am totally new to compounded Tirz. I'm excited but nervous about my journey and am hoping to start low and slow for numerous reasons, and potentially at a microdose. My biggest concern is making sure my vial has the correct dosage, for example if I want to begin at 1 mg or 1.5, understanding the conversions on the syringe to make sure I wont be taking too much or too little. I know Fat Scientist is frequently recommended for this sort of thing.

Does Trillium offering any support or instructions as far as how to load your vials and actually do your injection? I've watched a lot of videos and just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly. I know after the first time it gets easier, but I have a lot of "first time" anxiety about doing this correctly.

I'm also curious to see if there will be any advice on best practices for storage. I know everything should go in the refrigerator, but I wasn't sure if this company sends any instructions along with the supplies.

Thanks for being such a welcoming and supportive community!

Break Bar emergency?

Two firetrucks and two ambulances pulled up between Las Catrinas and Break Billiards by Broadway and 32nd and a whole bunch of EMS ran upstairs to Break Bar with a stretcher around 8:45 tonight. It looked like a lot of hands were on deck. Anyone have idea what was going on? Hopefully everyone's okay and it seemed worse than it was.
