I don’t remember like anything at all but with that expression, commander’s cockiness, and daisy’s name being Marguerite aka pearl it would make sense that a sentimental reluctant mother would give her such a romantic name and also allude to her husbands power in some way to justify the name to him if he didn’t like it.
He was early founding for gilead so it gives reciepts to the timeline of when daisy would be smuggled out
There’s no known wife information at least in his wiki and him basically adopting nick would prove a sort of parental fondness/absence.
Nick also asks him to reassign him somewhere and protect June showing that nick must have known there was some shred of guilt or something in him since he wouldn’t so easily ask the other commanders such an odd favor
As we know, in Gilead it seems a higher percentage of girls are getting their period as daisy only knows one girl her age who has it but all the plums turned green have it.
We all know periods can come early on occasion so what would happen if say an 8 year old pink got her period?
Would she be made a green and tossed in so prematurely? I don’t think so but it’s gilead.
Or would she be made a plum and raised up a few more years learning widely duties while she matured?
