It’s so incredible watching their bond grow, wouldn’t trade it

My Dodger & my Bailey, known in my neighborhood as “those hound brothers”

I know this movie is actually hilarious but it also made me feel as a little girl like I could be anything I wanted & I love it forever

I’m so grateful I get to give this boy the life he deserves

I’m not perfect, I still leave to leave my boys to go to work 5 days a week. & it’s just me & my boys. But my younger boy pictured above, my 1.5 year old, spent his first few months of life confined indoors 24/7. Had literally zero concept of outside when I rescued him. & he was severely underweight, used to eat his own poop. I could go on & on about the injustices my boy dealt with.

But in moments like this where we’re snuggling in bed, I’m so grateful he has a bed & he has a big one. He shares it with me & his older hound brother (& he hogs it). I love seeing him cozy & at peace. I love that he knows he will always get a meal. He gets a bully stick every night after dinner. He gets a whole lot of love, lots of snuggles & kisses. That is what he deserves.

I love my Bailey.

While my 1yo pup is at a daycare intake, I was reminded by my 7yo boy’s smile how important it is that he gets one-on-one time

I hate having to share my bed with two hounds, said no reasonable person ever

My boy looking handsome in his sassy old man era

Kidding ish lol he is only 7, not that old of a man. Starting to make the transition into silver fox, though.

He is sassy now lol, not to me but definitely with his baby bro & not so easy going with meeting new dogs anymore. But also an angel with many years of sassiness to go!
