Taking courses at other universities not offered at U of M

Has anyone transferred university credits from other universities?

For example, I am curious about Eastern Therapies and practices (as well as anything SE Asia history). I am wondering if I could take something online or at U of W and transfer it.

Seeking advice, as a student pursuing OT in Canada

I am currently in year 2. Finishing a BA in Psych
+ Family Systems then going into the Masters program.

My main goal is to go into daycares or public schools and assist children with additional needs or learning disabilities (autism, adhd etc) as my main role.

Then I would be taking on a private practice to help more affluent families and their children with learning disabilities. (Or adults)

How feasible is this?

For context: I already do private consulting as a “coach” for late diagnosed *adults*. I am working on proper credentials so I can help children and hopefully help influence the local school system.

Helping children is the heart and soul of what I want to pursue.

Hypertension, Blood Pressure & Lifestyle

35F, with a young child and full full life.

With a smart watch, I noticed that my BPM avg goes up to 110 from simple walking because of my meds.

So I’ve been working on lowering it with consistent brisk cardio. Now my average rest BPM is 60-70 yay

Lately, ive monitoring my blood pressure a family member passed bc of a stroke (RIP uncle) and found out my mom and many family members have hypertension.

With some googling, apparently I also may have hypertension…

The top number I can lower with breathing exercises. BUT apparently as soon as I start reading, that number rises.

Did more digging

apparently, ADHD (and autism) our baseline is already high. Which means anything that requires sustained focus uses a lot of cognitive effort = higher number.

So wtf how do we live ??? Wondering if anyone else has looked into this and what your experience is.

(Apparently, we’re supposed to meditate or do breathing exercises every 45 mins for 5 mins lol.)

Share your fav integrated office in living room / dinning

My apartment is a small 2 bedroom with the living room & dining area together.

My “office” had to be converted to a bedroom.

Office is an iMac, one filing system.

I could probably put the iMac on the dining table as it fits 6 comfortable and extends to 8 seater.

But how do I make it pretty

first time mature student.

seeing everyone use dif styles of notes in class is intimidating. I’ve observed:

- verbatim typer: the person who types literally everything the instructor says
- active listener: the person who writes notes for key concepts only
- hybrid: edits slides by inserting typing their own notes

I’m curious, what is your current studying style? Do you convert that info info flash cards or do you use flash card appa? Do you just reread the info?
