I saw in another post that all the songs will be unlocked by default, not sure if it’s confirmed or not, but I kinda wish they weren’t.

Part of the fun of these games is playing through the game to unlock stuff for the first time, especially if you haven’t been following all the song reveals. There are a lot of songs in GH and Rock Band that I wouldn’t have touched for a long time if I didn’t have to play them to progress the game, but I ended up really liking them. It gives more of an extrinsic motivation to play the game, adds a bigger sense of progress, and will expose more people to all the songs, if that’s part of their goal. What are your thoughts?

A lot of the most fun songs in the series (in my opinion) have been the instrumentals. YYZ, Impulse, Cliffs of Dover, Satch Boogie, Scatterbrained, Black Widow, all super fun to play. Is there anything in the setlist or do you think there will be that is a pure instrumental? What would your pick be?

I’m participating in the Golden Gate International Festival and got to see them perform a set last night. I’m blown away by how good this choir is. The performance was in such a dead space, but they sounded so incredibly in-tune with each other, their voices were so dexterous, they had such great choreography, and most importantly they sang with so much heart. I and a few of the people I was with were brought to tears a few times.

Whoever it is, they did a great job. Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Bernstein’s America, John Williams’ Summon the Heroes (very unexpected!), I loved the choices. These alongside very nice arrangements of Shenandoah and America the Beautiful. Top shelf.

I’m unsure when the Synchro Summon happens using Kewl Tune B2B’s effect.

The effect I’m unsure about is: “When your opponent activated a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Tuner in your GY or banishment, except a level 10 Tuner; add it to your hand or Special Summon it, then immediately after this effect resolves, you can Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster.”

So let’s say my opponent activates a monster effect, then I chain Kewl Tune B2B. The chain resolves, and the Tuner is summoned. Do I then get to Synchro Summon before the next effect in the chain happens? Or do I have to wait for the chain to resolve?
