Best Books or Resources for Learning Flamenco Improvisation, Patterns and Melodies?

Hi! I want to develop my flamenco guitar skills. I’ve been playing guitar for 16+ years, mostly blues and heavy metal, but recently I became really interested in flamenco and even bought a nylon-string flamenco guitar.

I should mention that I’m completely self-taught. I learned “Canción del Mariachi” from tabs and can play it pretty close to the original, and I’ve also learned a few variations of “Malagueña.”

However, I want to develop more as an artist rather than just being able to play covers. Are there any good books or other resources that can help with flamenco improvisation? I’m especially interested in learning common patterns, scales, melodic ideas, and how to actually use them.

I know that the Phrygian mode is widely used in flamenco, but simply knowing the scale doesn’t really teach me how to build convincing flamenco melodies or improvise freely.

My goal is to eventually be able to pick up the guitar and just play flamenco naturally.

Could you recommend any books or resources that would help me get there?

Is This a Choice Without a Choice, EA?

I live in Poland, and this is what I noticed today. Lol, guys, is this a choice without a choice?

Sure, I bought BF6 mainly for Conquest. Yeah, sure.

At this point it looks like some spy from Infinity Ward got inside the EA team, because I have no other explanation for this.

Well, I guess the BF6 devs really want us to go play Wardogs and CoD MW4 instead. And honestly, I’m not even that disappointed considering what a sh*tshow the latest season has been with hit-reg and all the other issues.

Yeah, CoD is a freaking conveyor belt, and sometimes the worst kind of game imaginable, but at least I can play all the modes I paid for from day one.

[Copyright] We need to talk about how massively broken YouTube's copyright claim algorithms have become.

My own YouTube channel was just deleted for copyright violations on MY OWN SONG.

Here’s what happened: On June 18th, I created a viral version of the song "Love me, hate me" (based on an unreleased Oliver Tree song) and uploaded it to my channel. I had no plans to put it on Spotify or Apple Music. The song blew up, got around 500k views, and started going viral on TikTok.

The Loophole Exploited: Someone downloaded the audio straight from my YouTube video and distributed it through a digital distributor to YouTube Music as their own official release. After that, they hit my original video with a copyright strike. They did this exact same thing with two of my other tracks. Because the system automatically trusts "official releases," YouTube blindly accepted the strikes, and my channel was completely terminated.

At first, I thought this was just my fault for not distributing the track officially. But after watching recent videos from massive creators like Davie504 and Richard Mauricio regarding insanely aggressive and false copyright claims, it’s clear this is a systemic issue.

It feels like YouTube is relying on a highly aggressive AI to scan and strike videos, and it’s hurting everyone from small creators to millions-subscriber channels. I even read about a channel getting terminated just for analyzing Taylor Swift lyrics (without even playing her music).

The Resolution Options are Broken

If a malicious actor steals your work and strikes you, the options to restore your channel are virtually nonexistent:

  • "Work it out privately": YouTube provides the claimant's email to resolve it. I reached out to the person who stole my track, and they responded with pure hostility and insults. Furthermore, if you get a false claim from a massive entity like UMG, good luck ever getting a human to read your email.
  • The Counter-Claim: This is the only official route, but it requires you to expose your real, full personal data (essentially doxxing yourself to the claimant) so they can potentially take you to court. For small creators or independent artists, risking a massive legal battle over a stolen track is terrifying and financially impossible.

It feels like the current system is designed to purge independent creators in favor of large corporations and distributors. And YT support system does not exist. I spent an entire month getting auto-replies from bots on Twitter and via email on copyright issues.

Seriously, do human beings even work at YouTube anymore?

Need simcade recommendations for Series S

Hey everyone!

I just picked up an Xbox Series S to get my setup ready for GTA 6, but until that drops, I really want to sink some time into a good simcade racer. I'm looking for something with the vibe of NFS Shift or Gran Turismo.

For context, I’ve already played the latest Forza Motorsport, plus Horizon 4, 5 and 6. And I recently tried Forza Motorsport 7 at a friend's place and it felt exactly like what I want right now. Unfortunately, it’s been delisted from the Xbox store due to licensing issues.

Does anyone know a legit site where I can grab a cheap digital key for FM7? Huge respect for anyone who can point me in the right direction!

Basically, my criteria for a game are:

- Real-world tracks

- Lots of different cars and classes

Not a hardcore, sweaty, overly complicated sim like Assetto Corsa. I just want fun simcade physics, not a second job.

Are there any other games available right now that fit this? Thanks in advance!

Channel terminated over covers by UMPG (contentprotection@umusic.com). Any chance to negotiate a strike retraction?

Hey everyone, I need some advice or just to hear if anyone else has been in this exact situation.

My YouTube channel recently got completely terminated due to copyright strikes from Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) - specifically from contentprotection@umusic.com.

I'll be honest, it’s my own fault. I was making covers to try and grow my audience, and I managed to build it up to about 2,000 subscribers before it got nuked. My channel wasn't monetized at all, and I put a ton of effort into making these covers sound highly professional. I’m just struggling to understand why UMPG went out of their way to take down a small, non-monetized channel.

A few questions for the community:

\- Has anyone else received strikes directly from this UMPG email?

\- Is there any realistic chance they might retract the strikes if I reach out to them directly?

\- I am completely willing to sign a written declaration promising to never upload a cover song again. I’m even willing to pay a penalty fee for the strike removal (within reason, up to $50, as I’m definitely not a millionaire) just to get my channel and its history back.

What do you guys think? Is my channel gone for good, or has anyone successfully negotiated with them before? Thanks.

[COD] Looking for an older CoD (BO3-BO4 era) with active TDM lobbies (Xbox, EU)

Hi guys. I recently bought an Xbox Series X and want to go back and try some of the CoD games I mostly skipped (Multiplayer only) .

I've played every CoD from CoD4 through Advanced Warfare, then jumped back in from MW (2019) all the way to BO7. The games I never really got into are:

Black Ops 3

Infinite Warfare

WWII

Black Ops 4

Modern Warfare Remastered

Do any of these still have a healthy online population in 2026, especially on Xbox?

A few things:

I only play Team Deathmatch.

I'm in Europe.

I'm not looking for recommendations like BO1, BO2, MW2 (2009), MW3, etc. I already have hundreds of hours in those.

I also don't need recommendations for the MW2019+ era since I've played all of those a lot.

Which of the games above is the easiest to find TDM matches in today? Are there any that are basically dead, or are they all still playable thanks to Xbox backwards compatibility/Game Pass?

I'd love to hear from people who still play them regularly.

Is BO4 multiplayer still playable on PC in 2026?

I've never played Black Ops 4 and I'm thinking about picking it up on PC.

The thing is, I only care about multiplayer. Zombies, Blackout, and everything else don't really matter to me.

Since BO4 isn't on Steam, I can't easily check player numbers, so I'm wondering: is the multiplayer still playable on PC in 2026? Are there enough players to find matches consistently, especially in popular modes like TDM?

I'm mainly looking for something to play until MW4 comes out. I've gotten pretty bored with BO7 and the newer CoDs in general.

Anyone here still playing BO4 on PC? How long are queue times, and are there any issues with hackers or matchmaking?

[COD] What's ur fav skin from the latest COD era (2019–2026)?

Mine is easily this Adler skin from CoD Black Ops Cold War.

Dude legit looks like Cable from X-Men. Still haven't seen anything from MWII, MWIII, BO6 or the BO7 that comes close tbh.

Curious what everyone else's pick is.

P.S. Before somebody hits me with the "you're the reason COD is ruined" speech: chill lol. I'd rather have COD with no skins at all and just default operators. I'm just asking which one is the least garbage in a system we're stuck with anyway. 😆
