Timestamp: https://imgur.com/a/qSTVKqf
$375 Fuji XF 23mm f1.4 R.
The original 23mm lens. Good cosmetic condition. Images look great. I bought it recently to try it, not my favorite focal length.
There is a small scratch on the edge of the front element, and a speck of dust in the rear. Neither of which I saw affecting images.
Comes with caps, original petal hood, and third party metal square hood.
Price includes shipping and G&S fees.
[S] [USA-MN] Peak Design Micro Clutch L plate
$30
I tried it on my Fuji X-T5. Nothing wrong with it. I just didn’t like it. Includes the all accessories (capture plate, long and short screws, and the little pop-out tool thingy).
Comic book store recommendation
I’m coming to Milwaukee in early August to see my Twins likely get annihilated by the Brewers. While I’m there I’m going to check out the city since It’ll be my first time to Milwaukee despite being born and raised in Western Wisconsin (I’ve been to Racine, does that count?).
I know I’m going to check out the Harley and Bobblehead museums, a brewery, and the lake front, but what I really need is a recommendation for a comic book store. I’m mostly after silver and bronze age key issues. The kind of books that are displayed up on the wall at the shop. Bonus points if they sell G1 Transformers figures. Any suggestions?? I’m staying downtown and will be relying on public transit and uber/lyft.
No mention of Photomator during WWDC, but other photo apps were. Gives me even more feeling that Photomator is dead.
During the Core Image 9 presentation, Apple Photos and Pixelmator Pro were mentioned, but Photomator wasn’t. What’s interesting is that Nitro was directly mentioned. This makes me feel even more strongly that Photomator is done for.
For those that aren’t aware, Nitro is a really good image editing app developed by Nik Bhatt. He was part of Apple’s image and Aperture teams and brought a lot of similar features from Aperture to his first app Raw Power and now Nitro (I’m not shilling for him, I still use Lightroom). Nitro is a great alternative to Photomator.
To play my own Devil’s Advocate, they also mentioned Acorn, which is a competitor to Pixelmator Pro and Photoshop…so maybe I’m wrong??? Regardless, the Core Image 9 update looks really great!
[S] [USA-MN] Samyang 12mm f2 Fuji X manual focus lens
$125
I bought this used a few years ago thinking I’d use it to get some astro shots when went to some dark sky areas. Well every time I had the chance the weather didn’t cooperate. I have not taken a single image with this and would like to sell it to someone who will get some use of it.
Apple OSs now support compressed raw!
For the longest time Apple was not supporting Fuji compressed raw. But they recently added support! You can now see thumbnails, open them in Preview, and see the images in Photos (rather than just a grey square).
The screenshot from my iPhone, the thumbnails for files in iCloud are not showing. I had to download the images first, then was able to see them. I’ve confirmed in MacOS 26.5, iOS 26.5, and iPadOS 26.5.
If Godzilla ran for President of the USA in 2028, who would he choose as his running mate for Vice President?
