Getting a TTR125 was the best choice I made for learning enduro
Got into dirt riding on a dual sport. I could ride it in easy trails but anything too rocky just got too difficult due to weight. Two bad drops decimated my energy (adrenaline rush and actual effort of picking up).
With the TTR, the confidence boost was itself enough.. the light bike is just a bonus. Tackled the entire trail without dropping it once. Did a log crossing for the first time which I was 100% expecting to botch. The only thing that might be better is a trials bike, but that is honestly overkill.
A skilled rider could do these trails on a R1250, but for a beginner, a 185lb bike is just invaluable. The power is a bit lacking, but the 1st gear can almost tractor through most climbs.
My G920 loses calibration after a while in F1 PC. Is there a fix to this?
Anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, it loses it's center. Have you experienced this? The only change I made in Ghub is changing the max rotation to 360. Thanks.
Noticed my chain fell off when getting really bumpy. The adjuster probably needs to be properly tightened.
But is a worn oit chain also causing this? Or would that not make a difference? Thanks.
Been on a very slow bulk and been seeing progress in weights.
Are there any muscles that need attention? Thanks
I put a 17/42 sprocket setup compared to the stock 16/43. It's about a 8% hit to torque. Honestly, it's been pretty nice.
It does take away a bit of the punch of this bike, but it's a lot smoother. Probably the best part is a usable first gear. I think I can accelerate faster now because I can actually pin the throttle in 1st gear without looping.
Any of yall run taller gearing?
Was riding my bike at good pace when chain came off. Bike stalled immediately. I lied the bike down for 10 minutes to put chain back.
Then, I tried to kickstart it.. and no luck. Usually I can kickstart a warm engine in 1 kick. I literally kicked 30 times.. heard the spark but it never held. Could smell the oil/gas. Finally, after 4 or 5 bump start tries, I got lucky and bike started.
Did the chain snapping mess with the engine? Or did leaning it over flood the engine/carb? Genuinely was worried of being stranded.
This play gives me a really mushy upshift. Any way to fix it?
I've been riding a dualsport in rocky terrain and it's was hell everytime I dropped it in some large rocks. Picking up 2 bad drops completely wore me out. Became a serious issue if I solo.
My TTR is almost 100lbs lighter. I didn't care much about power as long as I could muscle it out of rocks and could power through them in the tractor 1st gear. Is it the right way to learn? Will go for more power when I improve as a rider.
