What are the best prestiges... with the twist

So all prestiges have some downsides which is quite normal, necessary even, because without downsides Commanders would be too powerful, right? What if we could, somehow use just the good things / advantages and... somehow 'avoid' the bad things?

Fortunately, we can do this pretty easily!

  1. Stukov P3
  2. This is the most obvious choice! With P3 bunkers produce Infested Troopers 200% faster but bunkers don't have cargo capacity. Sooo, who needs cargo capacity anyways? The thing is, if you build and permanently keep 3-4 bunkers at your base they can take care of almost every wave Amon throws at you! They trickle troopers that intercept enemy waves long before the wave becomes a concern and deal with it. If the wave comes too close, you can infest your bunker which deals huge damage to land units. If all else fails, you buy yourself enough time to move your units and deal with the wave. IMHO, this is the best example of 'no downside to a prestige'.
  3. Zeratul P2
  4. ... but only if you play cannons only. That said, if you don't build army (but just Shieldguards) to replenish cannon shields this prestige has NO downsides because cannons are structures so cost increase don't apply to them! I play this and I can say it's very effective. Maybe not the best and optimal way but... I am having a blast!

Honorary mention: Dehaka P3
Now this one has an interesting twist. You have two Dehakas but... if one dies... the other dies as well? Soooo... what's the catch here? In other prestiges where you have only one Dehaka, if he dies... he dies... Bottom line is, in all prestiges, if your hero dies, he dies... but in P3 you have TWO hero units which means double abilities and two hungry mouths to feed. Ultimate fun with no downsides!! ... but there's a caveat... essence is split between Dehaka and Zweihaka which means they don't level up as quickly as if you had only one Dehaka. In most games, especially in longer missions, this is not a huge problem but still...

Have I missed something, are there any other prestiges without 'actual' downsides?

Hear me out...

Karax is THE BEST commander if you need to defend something. Some would argue that Swann is better. I understand this, I think that Swann is also very good ... just not better than Karax. My personal opinion is that Blizzard, when they introduced Prestige system wanted to address that one complaint most players had about Karax, that he is super slow and not very good for offence... so they did just that with P2... but price for that was way to high (that reminds me of Little Mermaid) - they took away his best tools, cannons and monoliths.

Sure, P2 is quite fast now and gameplay has totally changed....which is good... I guess... for a change but... that's not Karax anymore, Blizzard took away his soul - his defense capabilities. Sure, you can spam Carriers now but you are still not better than average Abathur, Zagara, Stukov, Dehaka, Tychus or even H&H for that mater - you are just one mediocre Commander, jack of all trades but master at none. Funny thing is that you could have been a f...ing master but you threw that away... and for what!?

Recommend commander to a friend so that he gets hooked on CO OP

Question is purely theoretical...

Say you have a friend who has never played SC2 CO OP... He is a gamer but doesn't have much experience in RTS but he wants to try this game and you have just one shot to get him hooked on this game. Which commander are you going to recommend for starters?

I'd probably recommend Tychus because he is quite easy to play and even if you have zero experience with this game you probably won't suck...too much. Also, he is OP from the start so you won't have problem with early waves. Also, you get healing and detection early. His macro isn't difficult and you can easily own every map.... not to mention that his prestiges are good (at least 2 out of 3). He is quite fun to play and you don't have to worry about 'complicated' mechanics like, say, essence, biomass, overpower me, stetzones, calldown timings... You also don't have to worry much about enemy compositions because Tychus, Rattlesnake and Sirius can handle literally every composition (you just fill up last two slots depending on enemy comp but even if you mess this up, Tychus, Rattlesnake and Sirius won't even break a sweat).

Just to be clear, I am not saying that Tychus is the best commander overall, all I am saying is that he definitely, IMHO, takes the cake when it comes to being most beginner friendly while offering 'nuff fun.

[Experience] with buying a replacement leather strap from Etsy

About a month ago I made this post asking for your opinions about one particular leather strap and how it would fit my watch. At the time I was looking for alternatives for original alligator strap that came with my Longines quadruple retrograde but I wasn't ready to part with some serious money and someone recommended me to look up some Vietnamese sellers on Etsy... and off through a rabbit hole I went...

Apparently, there are a lot of Vietnamese sellers on Etsy that produce alligator / croco / ostrich / lizard / snake leather straps for..., compared to local sellers, 'affordable' prices. For example, local sellers around here were asking for about 140 USD for alligator strap and I was able to find similar straps on Etsy for ... 40-50... up to... say 120 USD on Etsy.

Although I was originally looking for something as possibly similar to original strap, one hornback alligator strap quickly caught my eye. I really loved it's texture and I didn't mind that it will tone down the watch a bit - I am usually wearing jeans and shirts so this particular strap seemed OK. To cut story short, I bit the bullet and bought it and I wanted to share my opinion with you, in case someone is considering similar purchase.

Before I start, I want to say that this was my first and only experience with watch straps from Etsy so your personal experience may vary. After I made a purchase, I came upon one other post where some people were saying that most Etsy sellers just buy straps from sites like Aliexpress and re-sell them... I didn't know about that but I DID browse Ali before I made a purchase and I couldn't find any similar strap for less money so...

Communication with the seller was great, he replied very fast and I easily explained what customizations I want. Although we live on different sides of the globe, shipment came some 20 days after I made the order which was nice. As you can see from the pictures, strap is quite nice and well crafted. I am sure it can't compare to some high end, original straps that cost small fortune but for about 48 USD this is way more than I expected. Strap is made from alligator skin. While exploring these straps I learned that majority of 'high end watch companies' use leather from the alligator / croco belly because that leather is thinner and smoother (without 'horns' or thicker... parts as shown on this strap), more 'elegant' than leather from other parts of the animal. This 'other' leather is not as valued as belly leather. I quite understand this but I quite like these ridges because they look more genuine and ... personal than smooth leather. When I think of an alligator I think of scary reptile, with huge teeth, thick / ridged / horned skin relaxing somewhere on the warm sun... Anyway, strap color is few shades warmer than the original ... which is OK (although I must admit that I would like it to be just a tad darker). To be honest, I opted for stitching in color of the strap not because I prefer this option but because I was afraid that, if done with white thread and not done properly, this could ruin the strap. As you can see, stitching is well made so now, I wish I requested for white thread. 😀Strap has Zermatt calf leather on the 'under side' which is nice because it adds to the overall durability of the strap. Pin buckle that came with the strap is decent but generic so I replaced it with the original one. Still, if you don't have original buckle / deployant and don't mind using generic pin buckle, the one you get with the strap is OK. Seller recommended me to omit padding because hornback leather already has enough thickness which turned out to be a right call.

The only thing I DID mind, just a bit, is... thickness of the ends of the strap that connect with the watch case. I must admit that I don't have much experience with strap replacement (I didn't mention but you may have noticed this on the photos - this strap came with quick release pins which is great!) but I did have some hard time fixing the strap to the case. I wish the pin was...1mm or less closer to the end of the strap and that the thickness of the strap at that end was just slightly less.

All in all, although I had some concerns before the purchase, this turned out to be a very positive experience so if you ever considered buying straps from Etsy... I hope that this experience can help you decide. Thanks a lot for your time and have a great day!

Help Donny Vermillion uncover the truth behind unknown technology that destabilized Veridia's core

Donny Vermillion got an assignment to investigate what unknown alien technology is behind destabilization of Veridia Prime's core.

Help Donny by providing leads and clues, rumors at least, so that he can uncover the truth in another stunning LIVE broadcast!

I'll start: I overheard conversation between some SCVs in Joeyray's Bar that the reason for this was that Tal'darim were mining the core for unique minerals needed for the technology used for shrinkage of Alarak's massive balls so that they fit in the dress he's wearing.

All your base are belong to us

I usually play P1 Raynor because, honestly, it requires less skill and it's significantly faster than P3 BUT recently, I got bored of it so, just to spice things up, I switched to P3. I like P3's mobility and increasing strength (due to shorter calldowns) but, darn, it is quite slow and requires more APM.

I have just finished a game (Mist opportunities) with Zagar random ally so I didn't get the chance to shine (because, unlike Raynor, Zagara is super fast) but on the other hand, I had time to build up my fleet AND HAVE some... galore when it comes to building Command Centers. At the end of the game I was running out of minerals, at my bases, so I built several CCs near my ally bases so I can mine theirs. Of course, I already had more than enough minerals that I could have spent in that game but it was fun mining theirs.

That's another thing I noticed... I always hated when some random Raynor would mine my minerals but now I understand it's pure fun to mine someone else's while playing Raynor of course. 😂

[Advice] What's your opinion about this watch / strap combo?

Hi all... I recently got this nice Longines Retrograde. I got it used and the strap, although original, is not in the best condition so I am looking for the replacement. Watch comes with genuine (I think) brown croco strap and I was thinking of finding a matching replacement strap but I can't find anything similar on local market (with decent print and chocolate color). Original Longines strap is way too expensive and custom made croco strap is... still a bit pricey so I am looking for alternatives. I managed to find this Hirsch strap (second picture). It is... decent... Color is a bit... too cognac to be perfect but it's not that bad. Strap price is great and I hear great things about Hirsch straps so... Yay or ney?

EDIT: Darn, Hirsch strap got sold. Oh well...

We're the Millers

Who is your (least) favorite commander... but with a twist...

So, you wake up in SC universe and you are, just like in this universe, the most popular guy around and all creatures would KILL just to hang around with you...

Bearing that in mind, who is the first commander that you would like to go out and have a drink with?

Also, who is the last commander that you would go out and have a drink with?

I'll go first...

I'd go out with Nova of course because she is super hot and looks like a cool and funny girl but if we take away her looks...

I'd totally go out with Stetmann (and Swann if possible... at the same time of course because Swann and Stetmann know each other from the time when Stetmann was still a human. I bet they have many good stories and they both seem funny as hell).

The last commander I'd go out with is... Artanis... (I'd totally ignore all Protos commanders because they have 0 sense of humor and just fly super straight... which is no fun at all). But Artanis definitely takes the cake here, beside being no fun at all he is such a nerd.

So, how about you?

[Collection] - Few trinkets I like to play with

Hello everyone and welcome to my virtual watch tour. I got myself a new toy today so I wanted to share with you, not only this new toy but also the other toys I often play with. I placed all of my watches chronologically on the winder and my idea is to tell this story as it was happening, while I was hurling down this rabbit hole...

On the first picture you can see all the watches I currently have. It's nothing special, really, I wish I had some Zeniths, Pateks and Langes but, it is what it is. I honestly enjoy in every single one of these watches so I am not obsessed with having something that I can't afford. I would lie if I would say that I don't dream about having some other watches as well but, over the years, I realized that whenever I buy a new watch I am thrilled for a couple of days but then the 'itch' comes back, like a junkie, so this hobby and story is not about the destination as much as it is about the journey. So without further adieu... First watch on the left is my Hamilton Jazzmaster, second is Nivrel (I am not 100% about the exact model), third one is Longines Master Annual calender, fourth is Oris Artelier, day/date/GMT and moonphase, the fifth is my latest acquisition, Longines quadruple retrograde (also from the Master series) and the last one, as a bonus, is Vostok precission.

  1. Although this Hamilton Jazzmaster is not the first mechanical watch I fell in love with, this was the first mechanical watch I have bought. For long time this was the only watch I had and over the years it grew under my skin. I bought it second hand (as all other watches) and I can only confirm that Hamilton offers so much bang for the buck. It uses reliable ETA 7750 movement (not some Hamilton 'custom' movement H... something). It has really decent finishing and accuracy is superb. The only thing I don't like about it is this small second register positioned at 9 o clock. I wish it was bigger or if it wasn't there at all.
  2. Fast forward few years... As much as I was enjoying in my Hamilton I wanted to add something with even more complications... since I really liked complicated watches at the time (I still do but more about this later...). I decided to buy a watch with ETA 7751 since that is/was the most complicated mass produced Swiss movement. On my local market watches with this particular movement are quite rare. Most common watch with this movement is the watch from Longines Master series. I was considering buying it but I decided to wait a bit since I was not 100% thrilled with it's design and the price was a bit steep (considering that I was not totally cooked)... Some time later this Nivrel came along. It was dirt cheap and I decided to buy it. Nivrel is a reputable German manufacturer (not as known as Sinn or Nomos). As Hamilton, they are known, among the connoisseurs, as a company that offers good bang for the buck, and, what was important to me, that uses Swiss movements. This is not the best looking watch with ETA 7751 movement but it is nice. It is quite... unique... it has a screw down crown (like a diver), rotating bazel and bit of a pilot vibes... It is a strange mix but it is, above all, great tool watch with a lot of complications.
  3. I still remember the moment I saw that Longines Annual calendar on the listings... I noticed it, it had really good price but since I am not a fan of simple (dress) watches I went past it... but then 1-2 days later it came back to me, as an itch... 'Dude, that's freaking ANNUAL CALENDAR! When was the last time you saw an annual calendar on the listings? ... and for this price? This is a STEAL!' Honestly, I wasn't thrilled about the looks but the 'machine' inside, it is a freaking beast! For some time this was my favorite watch... Because of it I learned to love simple watches. It is so simple... but also quite unique.
  4. Oris Artelier... Few years back I came across one similar watch on the listings... It was some newer model (not this 'vintage') but it also had day / date / GMT and a moonphase with this same symmetrical layout. It was quite cheap and I was on the fence... Unfortunately, seller and I had some miscommunication and the watch was sold to someone else. I wanted to bite my leg off, it was one of those watches that 'got away'... Some time ago, this particular watch showed on the listings. To me, it looked even better than the one that 'got away' so I decided to do my best to keep an eye on it. This one showed on an auction... I never had any experience with those so as the time was running out it's price jumped a bit over than I had hoped for but, still, I think I got a good deal. Just look at it... It's gorgeous! It is a bit on a small side, case is... some 36(ish)mm in diameter, I wish it was a bit larger... not because I like larger watches but because my eyes are not as good as they used to be so I am having trouble reading the stuff on the dial. Because of this, I was seriously thinking of selling it but decided to keep it because it grew on me really fast. Although I can't read anything, except the time, from the dial, I learned that I actually can tell the day just by looking at the pointer (just as I don't need hour markers to tell the time, I can tell the time just by glancing on the position of the hands). Similar goes for GMT... I don't use other time zone, I use this indicator for am/pm so just by looking at the position of that hand I can tell if it's am or pm (if the watch has stopped). Moonphase is... moonphase, nothing to tell there really... The only thing I can't possibly see is the date and... there are so many people who use watches that don't have date indicator and I don't see them complaining. Anyhow, this was definitely one of my favorites because it's not only stylish, it can be worn as casual watch, it is small and elegant so I can't go wrong with it on formal occasions, it is.... 'new vintage' so it has some... old fashion charisma that many newer watches don't have. Downside with this watch is that, for some reason, it doesn't wind while sitting on my winder so I have to either wear it every day or gently 'shake' it to keep it wound. I guess that the reason for this is that the rotor is quite lite (same as the watch) so, instead of staying down while the watch rotates, on the inclined winder, rotor rotates with the watch.
  5. Newest addition to my humble flock is this Longines Master Retrograde beauty. Retrograde watches are so rare in my experience (I think I have never seen one out there in the wild) which is a shame because those jumping hands are mesmerizing and one can spend hours just looking at that jumping second hand. This watch has not one but four retrograde hands! In my opinion, Longines did such a great job with this Master series because they have managed to put many complications in different watches and, what's most important, at affordable price!
  6. Notable mention: Vostok Precision.

This one is an oddball, really... I am a HUUUGE Zenith fan. Unfortunately, I still don't have one but one day... Anyway, while exploring their history I came across one particular model with famous caliber 135. It was one of the most famous calibers in their history, caliber that got many prizes for it's accuracy. Soviets somehow got the blueprints for this movement (some say espionage, some say reverse engineering) and they made their own version of the movement - 2809. As far as I know, that movement was the only Soviet movement with chronometer precision! Nothing special and fancy here, just some piece of Cold war history...

All in all, I can't complain much. I fell in love in 'mechanics' of mechanical watches - the more complicated movement - the better. ... at least that was the point until recently... As years go by, my eyesight is not what it used to be so I can't enjoy as much in all those small details as I could while I was younger. Another thing is, the more complications the watch has it takes more time to set it once it stops. Oris, for example, doesn't have... an option for quickset of the moonphase - you advance moonphase by turning the hour hand. This means that, if moonphase is 15-20 days out of sync, you 'll have to turn hour hands for (15-20)x2 full rotations and I really, really hate to do that. When this happens I usually just leave the watch to sit and wait for 15-20 days so it get synced with the Moon and just set the day/date. I find it easier that way.

Anyway, I hope you liked the text and watches of course. I wish the photos were somewhat better but I am a terrible photographer. Both Longines have thermally blued hands which look stunning under the right light but catching that on photos is super difficult, at least for me. Thanks for your time and have a great day!

Eric Cartman: Jonah Hill
Kyle Broflovski: Michael Cera

Karakteri za koje me možete ubediti da uzmem nekog drugog glumca:

Butters: Will Poulter (We're the Millers)?
Mr Mackey: Paul Lieberstein (Toby Flenderson iz The Office... i kada smo kod Ofisa...)
Chef: Leslie David Baker (Stanley Hudson iz the Office... ili mozda... Terry Crews?)
Randy Marsh: Sam Rockwell
Mr. Garison: Walton Goggins (Chris Mannix iz Tarantinovog filma The Hateful Eight)

Ostaje nam još dosta karaktera, recimo, beže mi Stan i Kenny za početak... Imate neki predlog?

Hi guys., i just finished Forbidden legend quest and crafted Gauldur amulet but I think that I may have encountered a bug... I found on the net that crafted amulet gives +30 to HP, stamina and magicka but my amulet gives only +10 to all skills and skill improvement.

As you can see from the pictures, I still have Saarthal AND Gauldur amulets, shouldn't they combine to ONE Gauldur amulet after the amulet is crafted at the end of that quest? As you can see from the Journal, I have found all 3 pieces and reforged the amulet (after the fight in Reachwater Rock) and the quest is completed but I think something is off here. Have stats on this amulet changed in some of the latest patches? I have also tried console commands (I tried to add amulet after I didn't get the amulet with 'proper' stats but my added amulet also has the same 'faulty' stats.) I am using some mods but not the ones that change item stats (at least not that I know of)... Any help is appreciated.

PS. Sorry for bad pictures, my print screen doesn't work in Skyrim. 🙄
