Is this normal- contractor wants me to pay for a quote

I’m going to be doing a full first floor remodel. I’m in the quote phase and had recommended from a friend. Professional company that does big projects. They charge a fee to give a quote and if I go with them they credit my account.

Is that standard practice?

2+ week itchy rash- nothing helps. What could this be?

I’ve had this rash for 2+ weeks. I’ve been to urgent care who gave me prednisone to make it go away. It got a bit better but once the medication was over it was back even worse. It’s all over my body, doesn’t really leave. Sometimes I get new spots. It was really bad on my neck but seems to be getting better. My gp said it looks like an allergic reaction and to wait it out but I’m so itchy. I am on triamcinolone cream twice a day as needed. It’s very itchy. I can’t pinpoint anything that I’ve done differently to trigger this. I do sometimes get Dyshidrotic eczema but that’s mainly on my hands. Any help on what this could be would be appreciated.

guaranteed insurability rider denied due to agent error - options?

Basically the title, I have guaranteed insurability rider that my mom got me when I was a child. Due to a medical condition I can’t get any additional insurance so this rider is very helpful to get increases in insurance. I followed the process but my agent filled it incorrectly and it’s been denied and they won’t budge/ fix on their side.

What are my options? Her suggestion was to go through a regular medical exam but I know it will be declined and the reason we got this option was to avoid that. Should I file a complaint with the company?

Concrete or epoxy

Hi! I’m in NY and winters are brutal. My garage floor is very pitted so I’m thinking of getting a new concrete floor. Should I go with epoxy instead or just get a new concrete slab poured? It’s a two car garage - foundation is fine just pitted and down to the stones. Winters we park the cars inside so it will get a lot of snow and salt.

Any advice? What should I be looking for?

[landlord- US-NY] would you not renew for continuing late payments?

Hi all- new to LL. I have two tenants, one pays on time and is a bit high maintenance but whatever. The other is pretty low key but pays late every month. Rent is due the first and last month didn’t pay until the 18th. Legally I can only charge them a $50 late fee. This month I’ve already served the quit or cure notice, I’m done waiting around. My question is if this continues for the remainder of the lease would you just not renew? Or is this just something you deal with as they always end up paying? If they pay in the 14 days legally I can’t do anything so I’m really wondering if I should renew when the time comes.
