Publish directly to handwritten.blog from your Supernote!

Hi all,

You can now publish directly to handwritten.blog from your Supernote! Previously you had to email me for access, but you can now enable the feature yourself at https://handwritten.blog/supernote (you have to be registered and logged in).

You open a notebook, tap "Send to handwritten.blog" in the NOTE toolbar and your pages upload as images and become a private draft. You review it and publish it yourself. Nothing publishes automatically, and only the pages you send get uploaded. Your Supernote password, Cloud account and .note files never reach my server. The plugin only uses Ratta's documented on-device APIs. No root, no developer mode.

The plugin is open source (MIT licese): https://github.com/emilesilvis/handwritten-blog-supernote-plugin

Caveats: I don't own a Supernote, so there's no model or firmware compatibility list yet. With the help of u/y0da_cod3r, I tested it, and it works! If you find any bugs, let me know!

I built a feature to publish to handwritten.blog directly from the reMarkable

EDIT: I since did something similar for Supernote! https://handwritten.blog/supernote. I would love some help from people willing to beta test.

Hi all! I wrote about the feature for the reMarkabale here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RemarkableTablet/comments/1voxjem/you_can_now_publish_directly_to_handwrittenblog/

I'd love to do the same for the Supernote, but since I don't actually have a Supernote, I can't test it. Would any of you be willing to help me test it?

(This all assumes I'm legally allowed to do this; this is something I need to figure out still.)

You can now publish directly to handwritten.blog from your reMarkable!

I'm super exceited about this feature for https://handwritten.blog/ (handwritten.blog is a blogging platform for handwritten posts).

It's not enabled for all users yet, so if you'd like to try it, DM me your email address you signed up with and I'll enable it for you.

You simply:

  1. Connect your device.
  2. Create a top-level `handwritten.blog` folder.
  3. Every new notebook in that folder becomes a draft on https://handwritten.blog/!

I'm making Wolf Tone, a Zachlike where you transform notes by building marble machines

Hi all!

Some of you might remember the first iteration (which was more about string theory), but I've since iterated into something that (I hope) allows for more interesting puzzles and machines.

I'd really appreciate some people from this subreddit willing to play testing some of the early puzzles. Please DM me if you're interested.

Outer Wilds is hands down the best gaming experience I’ve ever made - can we design a game with the same sense of wonder?

I’ve been thinking recently: what would need to be true of a game to make or a proper Outer Wilds-like? In my mind: 1) a progressive discovery of knowledge that reveals the mystery and 2) some sort of a loop. Are there any other key ingredients I’m missing (apart from an awesome OST, of course)?

Edit: oops, I said “I’ve ever made” in the title but it should be “I’ve ever _played_”. I can’t edit the title.

handwritten.blog has a new homepage!

https://handwritten.blog/ has a new homepage which, hopefully, reflects its ethos better.

If you have ideas to make it even better or you'd like your blog featured under the "See a page link", let me know!

Wolf Tone: a Zachlike where you build musical instruments that are secretly string theory

I've been building a Zachlike called Wolf Tone (previous name was Braneworks) and I'd love play testers (DM me, and I'll send the link).

You're basically a luthier commissioned by an (unseen) alien civilisation to shape reality through building advanced musical machines (that are actually just string theory in disguise).

Every screen is drawn, not sprited. Brass, bone and walnut lit by one lamp. Made in Godot, in play testing now. Eventually I hope to put it on Steam.

(My previous post got removed by Reddit's filters, so posting again).

I'm looking for some someone to help me remake the homepage for handwritten.blog

Right now https://handwritten.blog/ kind of sucks (I think it can be way more), but I'd love to see if there are any people interested to help me collaborate on it? It's a nice opportunity to have some creative fun.

Help me with sddobservatory.com - tracking spec-driven development in the wild

A while ago there was someone that asked for reference projects using SDD to see how they track specs over time, and I had the idea for https://sddobservatory.com/ (which became a reality today).

It's all community-driven, so please help me submit more frameworks and especially projects!

Also, feel free to help me think about the actual methodology more carefully: https://sddobservatory.com/methodology/.

Disclaimer: I'm doing this completely for my own fascination with SDD.

Disclaimer 2: I know it's ironic (or telling?) that this project itself doesn't use SDD :)

Is it really as simple as this, or am I missing key metaphysical branches?

A Zachlike about string theory - I'm looking for some feedback on my mechanics.

Hi all. I'm a huge Zachtronics fan. I've always dreamt about making such a game myself, especially about something esoteric like string theory (I find Opus Magnum especially memorable because of the alchemy theme).

I think 99% of of making a good Zachlike is getting the mechanics right (and I think level diversity is entailed in that). I started playing around with some of the mechanics and would love some feedback. Would anyone be interested to have a small play test and tell me what they think I can improve?

Good to note: the prototype you see below is sans any aesthetics! It's just a sandbox for me to test out the mechanics. I envision this looking way prettier eventually :)

[HIRING] Design and hand-drawn illustration of https://handwritten.blog/ (~€100)

I am making a platform for handwritten blogs: https://handwritten.blog/.

Currently the landing page kind of sucks. I want it to look more like https://postimg.cc/w7ZNXmMt (still not final). What I want is a hand drawn landing page, with the illustrations. This can be a photograph of an actual illustration on paper or something done on a tablet.

Please contact me by leaving a comment on this post. I won't be answering chats.

Handwritten blogging platform

(Disclaimer: I coundlt figure out exactly whether this kind of post is against the community rules; it might be!)

A while ago I stumbled upon a post on the remarkable sub about a handwritten blog. I loved the idea of slow, deliberate, authentic writing so much that I bought the https://handwritten.blog domain from the owner and started playing with building my own version this week. No idea where it's going, but I'm having fun.

There's a demo blog at https://demo.handwritten.blog/ (or make your own at https://handwritten.blog/). Would love thoughts from people who love writing by hand.
