Hi Freshers !

Congratulations on starting at PES. You have no idea what you're in for :)

I stepped into campus like a baby in my first year ; not expecting much from myself or anyone .

Sure , none of us were too thrilled about the peeling walls, barely functioning lifts , dystopian atmosphere and ongoing constructions when we first stepped into the world of PES .

Over time , things began to look different . I found myself becoming more of a part of my cute little adorable college .

The whirlwind of first year carried with it unforgettable friendships, endless lectures, club activities , canteen food , fest season, overnight hackathons, bunked classes , pointless revals and failed exams.

It's these little things that make our college what it is , and I wouldn't change a thing about it :)

You might see this place as broken, but I ?

I recognise myself in the ruins . I even admire how the infrastructure is made so that the hopes are sucked out of us - on purpose - only to realise that it was always us who brought colors to this colourless world . The college isn't beautiful because it's broken , but because you and I find broken things beautiful.

This college is my beautiful broken battlefield .

Can't wait to go back to my favourite place on Earth to start third semester in a few hours ...

It took me a year and I'm thinking we seniors have the same answer , but freshers ...

Are even ghosts scared to come here?

Here are the things i found after digging through the sub

There are Experiential learning (EL) in which we have to make a project abt a topic given by profs

U have to make groups for that and u can't have the same group for next EL

We have to search for ppl who can do projects

But there are also ppl who just take credit without working

The EL has to be presented before profs and they don't grade it correctly( even if it's a gd project)

There are also CIEs abt which i dint get much information

The profs are bad and expect us to learn things on our own

There are no fests,no celebrations

They only celebrate 8th mile which is celebrated once in 2 yrs.

No holiday for festivals.

Only 1 week holiday after odd sems and only 1 month holiday after even sems

The only thing gd is placements which will gradually decrease with more intake and if rvu students also sit for placements.

Should I give up rvce

Suppose i get a college in round 1 and if press accept and continue (choice2), in round 2 will it consider the colleges above my alloted college and automatically replace my alloted college?

And after i get a College in round 1 can I shift it in the option entry?
