How is this buff for dragon hunter
I think dragon hunter lacks the survivability to come back from behind and ebyssian was generally too slow of a card. It was getting even getting cut from a few dragon hunter decks.
But dragon hunter might fundamentally just lack having enough pure dragons to begin with so even a buff like this might not move the needle for the archetype. But I wanted to hear some thoughts about this buff. I did consider a stronger one where its exactly like old ebyssian but he also gives lifesteal to all dragons but am unsure about the powerlevel of that
Is the strimmer wireless safe to be connected to the gpu adapter that combines 2x 8pin PCIE into a 12V-2x6?
This is my non-modular PSU: Hydro PRO | Power Supplies (PSU) | FSP
It has 4 PCI-E 6+2 which i connect 2 of into a 12V-2x6 adapter that came with my 5070ti. Is it safe to plug this adapter into the lian li strimmer wireless since that only accepts 12V-2x6? So it would be PSU->12V-2x6 adapter->wireless strimmer->GPU
As a side question, how bright is the strimmer wireless? Is it bright enough to completely illuminate the area between the GPU and PSU shroud by itself with no other light sources?
All this to play modded skyrim
I was initially holding out for the 5000 series super but seeing as its no where near any concrete release, decided to just upgrade to a 5070ti.
My most played games are modded Skyrim followed by modded cyberpunk2077. Coming from a 4070, with Skyrim I saw about 50% increase in fps from 70+ to 100+ (No DLSS but using Nvidia smooth motion for FG). With cyberpunk2077 my fps seemingly doubled from 40+ to 80+ which I did not expect at all.
My next upgrade will probably be an X3D chip for that L3 cache given Skyrim’s drawcall limits and for better 1% frames but that’s probably not anytime soon.
Current build: 5600x, 16gb DDR4, B550m, 5070Ti
Would the walnut or oak ikea karlby go better with my setup?
I know most people pair white setups with oak and black setups with walnut but I feel like mine is both black and white. Im also paring this karlby with a turquoise-grey Alex drawer.
As a side question, does the karlby require regularly maintenance? Idk anything about wood maintenance and wondering if just cleaning it normally every once in a while is fine.
Found this guy in my cupboard, doesn’t look like his box though
Was just clearing my things when I found him. I vaguely remember he’s suppose be a toa something
My white fractal north build
Right now there are many cases that have replicated fractal’s north front wooden panel. But my main reason for choosing fractal’s north white was because their white variant used a black interior while the others were typically just full white.
I really enjoy this black and white interior over just pure white and I think it harmonises more with my overall setup than just the other pure white cases.
Also, not really relevant but my wallpaper is a screenshot of my Dragonborn in Skyrim, that’s why there’s an FPS counter at the top left haha
Is upgrading my GPU over my CPU the correct choice here for skyrim?
I have a 5600x (B550m w/ 16gb DDR4 RAM) and rtx 4070 12gb. I play at 3440x1440p (ultrawide). I get about 45fps on average and roughly 70+fps with nvidia smooth motion (framegen).
Initially I thought it was a no brainer to upgrade to a X3D CPU since after searching this subreddit, many people recommend X3D cpus for skyrim drawcall limits.
But after looking at my in-game benchmarks, i realized that my GPU is basically maxed out at 99% usage. CPU usage is only roughly 30%. I understand that CPU usage is misleading for skyrim since it only uses one core but I believe my CPU still has "room to spare". When i artificially stress it by maxing out SMP physics in-game, its usage increases to 50%+ and my GPU usage starts dropping to 80% indicating the CPU is now the bottleneck (Correct me if im wrong).
Given that my bottleneck currently appears to be GPU, does it make sense to upgrade my GPU over CPU? Skyrim is one of my main games, only other game i play as much is cyberpunk2077 which i also play ultra modded. But skyrim takes priority for upgrades over 2077. My planned upgrade is a 5070ti fyi.
tldr: Is upgrading to an X3D CPU when GPU usage is maxed going to provide better fps/performance?
edit: using intel presentmon here are my stat:
* 3440 x 1440p: GPU usage 98.4%, 11.2gb VRAM used, CPU usage 40.0%
* 2560 x 1080p: GPU Usage 98.4%, 9.66gb VRAM used, CPU usage 46.8%
its about 70+fps on 1440 and 95+fps on 1080
