Hey!! All my friends are employed ( yay for them, boo for me) and I am getting tired of applying to jobs alone. I want to have a meetup day during m-f with some other unemployed people. I want it to happen consistently and I think we should cycle (either during each meetup or every other meetup) between job search activities (applying to jobs together + looking over resumes, helping with mock interviews) and fun things like paddleboarding, museum days, short hikes when we get more comfortable as a group etc. If anyone is interested, lmk! I will make a group chat :)

Hello! I got an interview at a company I am extremely excited for in a marketing position I am very qualified for. I am excited for the interview but am concerned--on my resume, I listed my job as current title & job title I am performing but not my official title (Copywriter & Content Strategist). I perform all the functions of a content strategist but honestly was not even expecting to hear back from this place because it was a stretch to begin with--especially for anyone working as a recruiter, how would you view that?

For more context, I had been asking my manager to change my title for 2 years and he agreed but never brought it to HR and we regularly talked about how my title didn't match my function.

Hey friends!! I am about to join the club along with 12 other people on the creative team at my current job. Super nervous but have been here before, so I have all my important info on my personal computer + portfolio all updated. Is there anything I am missing? Not excited to be 27 and out of work in our current economy, but I am excited to think about the future outside of creative corporate work. Thinking I go back to part time work and do school full time again, but we shall see!!

Hello!! I have lost over 130 lbs (yay!) And during the process I noticed I get canker sores when I restrict calories and only stop getting them when I eat pretty high above my maintainence (maintenance for me being around 2000) . I have been to the doctor several times because of this and was given steroids to help with a flare up, but there haven't been any answers. I am eating balanced, about 1700 calories per day and my bloodwork looks good (no deficiencies) and was wondering if other people who have lost a lot of weight or are actively dieting have experienced the same thing? I take lysine as well but I still get several every month.

Hi! I went on three dates last month with a therapist who used to practice in a different state than we currently live. He is licensed to practice in both states. The patient was/is a celebrity I mentioned liking the movies of. He took the opportunity to tell me he was this person's therapist, and also told me a few details of what they talked about. It made me uncomfortable, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized what a violation it was. I have stopped seeing this person, but am still a little disturbed--are there steps I should take, or is this something to let go?

Hello all, I am currently undergoing some major health issues, I think I have ulcerative colitis or some other condition that is really not fun to deal with. I had a dr appointment today and was scheduled for a colonoscopy next week. I have a dog I am watching and will need to cancel that for my own comfort. I obviously want to take on some of the burden of finding a new last minute sitter, but can anyone help me figure out what to say? I feel so bad having to do this and did not know up until today that this would happen. I also don't feel comfortable telling this person what is happening

Hello!! I am looking to make some lazy ful medames but cannot find tinned fava beans anywhere. Pcc seems to have fresh fava beans, whole foods has dried ones but I really don't want to spend 3 hours soaking beans just to satisify my craving. Any leads into tinned fava beans? Thank you! I live in Ballard and would prefer not to go too far keeping in the lazy spirit of this desire.
