No I don't work for Tesla. I don't even own one. I rented a brand new Model 3 FSD for a road trip this week and was blown away at how well it works now considering I last tried FSD years ago on a Model S and it worked decently at best. This new one was pretty much point to point and outside of some lane suggestion input from me, I left it alone and let it drive me for 3 hours.

Today I decided to try Rivian R2's Autonomy+ and nearly crashed it. Mind you, I have never driven a Rivian and did not read about Autonomy+, which is my fault. I hopped in, got familiar and then tried Autonomy+. Then to my surprise, it was barreling towards a 4-way stop intersection at mach 3 before I stood on the brakes.

I don't follow closely autonomous driving development. Does anyone else make an FSD like Tesla's or are they actually that much further ahead?

I'm seriously appalled at the prices right now. I've always wanted a 993 since they were new and I was a kid but I've pretty much had to back away from the coupes for their ludicrous prices.

This year I decided I can bring a $60k budget to the table for a manual cabriolet and even then I'm struggling to find a clean one. This would have been a decent budget just two years back. Does anyone foresee a correction on the horizon? I've been seeing 3.2 Carreras go into the six figure range now. This market is completely irrational.

Yes it's an air cooled Porsche 911. Yes I've always wanted one. No I don't want a newer car. No it's not my only car. Yes I already have a Toyota to keep me sane.

What is an old car you would spend too much money on? Need some hand holding here to validate my decision so I'm not feeling like I'm losing my damn mind.

I browse FB marketplace and the online auction sites daily out of habit and started to think about what project cars I probably just wouldn't repaint.

I think air cooled 911s and VW bugs and buses are a given. Is there anything newer than that that can pull it off?
