Tailgate hole access cover came loose

This GM branded tailgate liner has worked its way completely loose. The white mounting clips for the screws seem completely useless at this point. I’ve tried reusing them but no dice. Any suggested replacement options or anyone else had something similar?

Another 200 rounds through my American Ranch Gen 2

Sitting at around 600 rounds through my Ranch Gen 2 and the bolt (with some very light polishing and Slip2000) is really starting to smooth out. A huge improvement over when it was new.

8” plate at 400 yards round after round on a Vortex 3x9. Just a lot of fun. This might be my favorite in the safe especially considering the price.

Sidenote, I got to experience a Ruger American in .308 with the stock muzzle break being shot a few lanes over and hoo boy - EEEEEEEEEEEE!

Big fan

Of this small fan…

I have 5-6 Ryobi drill batteries laying around and picked this up at HD on sale for $20. I feel like this thing would run 7-8 hours on a full charge.

Not exactly a novel idea but it certainly made it easier for my Stacy’s Mom K to pull double duty today with it being 92 degrees.

Panzer gray in the wild!

Looks even better out in the sun and it felt great. Way better than what Rustoleum felt like on previous AR sprays

Rapco Panzer Gray A300 UP

Following up on my post from yesterday

It’s only been ~30 hours since I sprayed the receiver so I was exceedingly careful during reassembly. Won’t fully handle it until the weekend at least while it continues to cure. I am extremely happy with how it came out. A couple of very small imperfections due to my poor prep (should have done one more pass with the isopropyl) but from 3 feet it looks like a factory finish.

Now’s the hard part - waiting

Shoutout Panther City for quick shipping, gummy bears and sticker!

Hit the receiver of my A300 UP with the new Panzer Grey from Rapco. I wanted something outside of more FDE and ODG, as I’ve Krylon’ed ad nauseum on other projects and really like the grey that many UP’s come from the factory with. I don’t know that it’s a perfect facsimile but I really like how it’s looking as it dries!

I will be sure to report back with more photos once it’s dried and reassembled (and in much better lighting)

Fiocchi Range Dynamics .223

Musket for attention.

Generally speaking, I only shoot WWB and PMC XTAC. I recently found a good deal locally for Fiocchi Range Dynamics 55gr .223

Since buying the ammo I’ve read some (seemingly infrequent, but still concerning) posts about jacket separation from Range Dynamics ammo causing baffle strikes. It doesn’t seem to be limited to select batches/lot #’s but also doesn’t seem to be a rampart issue with suppressed rifles. Any personal experience running this ammo suppressed?

The upwardly mobile Pony

After about 20 different iterations of this Anderson lower I finally ripped the bandaid off on a quality upper - DDM4V7.

The fit and finish, lockup and overall quality are very impressive and the handguard feels Swiss bank vault sturdy.

Bootleg BCG means the quaint little polymer DD dust cover will never close but that makes no difference to me.

Next up G$ ACH/SCH and a decent Mlok mount WML.
With all the sales going on, my heads spinning a little bit as far as the light goes, so I'd really appreciate any call outs on solid deals. In the 2 bills range (which I understand limits my options a bit)

Pulled the right lever(s)

Rossi Rio Bravo Tactical in 22LR

Grabbed it on a whim and has quickly become one of my favorite guns that I own. The fit and finish is exactly what I expected for the price point but it is an absolute hoot as a suppressor host - though I suppose most .22s are. Shooting shorts gives you 15 in the tube for even more fun. PITA to clean but it’s been (knock on wood) perfect for 950 rounds so far.

Last time out I sent 200 rounds, a mix of CCI standard and sub shorts, out to 300 on 12” steel using the crudest version of Kentucky windage while waiting for my can to cool down on my 5.56 rifle before getting in the car. If you come across a threaded barrel .22 lever for pocket change, buy it!

Posted yesterday asking a couple of questions about the Eotech 512 and was relatively set on it until I came across a deal for a UH-1 Gen 2 locally.

I have 5 other Vortex optics, including a Micro 3x so after a few hours of research I pulled the trigger. I was quite surprised by how much I like the look of the thing on this rifle. Reticle doesn’t bloom (astigmatism) at all unless you set it to the available surface-of-the-sun brightness and I’m extremely happy with how it looks under 3x magnification.

Price, knowing how Vortex handles warranty claims + QD mount pretty much sealed the deal for me. Can’t wait to get it on the range - anything to look out for with these?
