First Stick & Puck

Went to my first stick & puck today. I’ve skated since I was little I’m 35 now. But just recently started investing time into the sport, stick handling at home, skating when I can.

I grew up with a few guys that played hockey, I begged and begged for years for my parents to let me play. Was just told we couldn’t afford it and that was that. Life happens quick, I have two boys now 2 and a 4 month old, bills, mortgage, the works.

I walked into the locker room and kept hearing in my head “don’t do this, you don’t belong, go home” but didn’t listen, got dressed and got after it. The session was so intimidating, but the few people I met were so welcoming. As the sport already seems.

Thanks for reading, very grateful and happy to be getting involved. Even at 35 years old/young however you wanna look at it.

Got my Wings Clipped

I’ve been clipped, and my wife tried to cheer me up with quite a few sweets. Procedure was quick, the worst part was anticipating the procedure. I read a few reviews from other dads here, was freaking myself out so I figured I would quit while I was ahead and just see what it’s all about for myself. We’ve got our two beautiful, happy and healthy boys and we’re set. Our first son almost killed my wife in labor, we wanted to stop there. But the second time around made up for all of the stress and trauma involved. What a gift.

Am I on the right track?

We bought our first house in November last year. Built in 1972. We are learning that the previous owner had “their guy” make repairs all over the house… He’s a monster we’re learning, that aside I have this situation throughout the home, long cracks along the ceiling.

Am I right in my approach? Drywall screws and then tape/mud/texture again? And if anyone has a good explanation as to the “why” behind it. Just age? Or evidence of someone trying to fix it and just doing terrible work?

I’ll take my answer off the air.

Looking for Men in Need of Help

I’m actively looking for individuals that are looking for help. Do you feel overwhelmed, have little control over your emotions when certain things happen? Do your kids trigger you? Does work seem unfulfilling? Does your partner think you need help? Have you tried therapy, of any kind?

I’ve worked through a process, a meditative program that allowed me to fully release things in my life that at one point and for a very long time had control over me. Now it’s the other way around. I’m looking for a few individuals that would be interested in going through this process as I learn to become a coach/guide myself. These services would be free, the only thing asked is a testimonial after the fact, which can be left anonymous. This program is 1 session a week, for on average 8 weeks. Very well could change your life like it has mine. Thank you for reading, just simply leave a comment if you are interested and I’ll reach out. I can only take on as many as my schedule will allow, so spots are limited at the moment.

What to hide in the wall…

Like the title says, trying to come up with something to hide in a wall before I close it up. A note? Picture? Something funny? Something scary? A bottle of wine? Anyone have any thoughts or advice. My wife and I have been trying to come up with something funny but can’t settle on anything. Thanks for the help in advance.
