So, how is the game going to be structured?

Completely Open World? A small selection of very big levels? Are there even going to be hub worlds? They definitely cannot do levels the size of the ones in the original trilogy.

To make free flight work, levels have to be relatively large, which can limit the variety of levels to be had, because how many variations of open terrain can you actually have... one with snow, one with sand, one with grass? :D

I can't wrap my head around how they want to balance the free flight mechanics with fighting enemies & collecting gems on the ground while having levels that support all this. What stops you from escaping all situations with flight? You can avoid all enemies and platforming challenges.

What do you think?

Conflict resolution questions

Hi! I'm new to Supabase and I am in the process of using it together with a Swift iOS app.

Right now I'm struggling with conflict resolution (last write wins), there are multiple approaches here and I wonder what the best one is or if there's an even better way.

  1. Fetch existing row and check if modification date on server is newer than on local record. If yes, ignore (and fetch later to replace local record). If no, upsert row and replace data on the server.

  2. Edge Functions: Every upsert goes through an edge function instead of using upsert from the SDK and it handles this on the server.

  3. RPC

I would be thankful for any guidance on this.

Stewart Copeland will not return for Spyro A Realm Beyond's soundtrack

>Copeland did, however, confirm to The Independent that he was not involved in the recently announced Spyro sequel A Realm Beyond – the first original Spyro game since 2008 – which is due for release in 2027. "It happens that way," he said. "It's a new generation. They want a new generation of sound and everything… they've got to modernise it. No harm, no foul."

Berlin S2: What happened to...

So, they stole the Lady with an Ermine. They gave it to the Duke. At the wedding Berlin tells Candela that the painting could come up at an auction for way less than its value. So what happened? Why would he believe that could happen if the Duke really is in the possession of the original.

That epilogue text about how it was sold for $100 million dollars in December 2016 was about the real life event, so it cannot possibly be that.

Berlin S2: "Christmas Eve falls on a Friday this year"

Not even two minutes into episode 1 and they fuck up their own timeline even more. Christmas Eve does, in fact, not fall on a Friday in 2012, 2013, or 2014.

Season 1 was supposed to be in 2013. Season 2 seems to be set in 2013 too given the reference to the Boston heist that was 23 years ago in 1990. The ticket for the flight to Singapore is also dated June 2013. They get those tiny details right, but just about the first line of real dialog is so wrong.

Just something that annoys me.
