What if living your life as a dwarf had a beta ready for you to play?

I've been making games for over 15 years, and somehow it took me this long to make an RPG about the most relatable motivation imaginable:

Someone owes you money.

I'm one of the developers behind Runesmith, a turn-based fantasy RPG where you play Durgrim, a grumpy dwarf runesmith who crafted an incredibly powerful artifact for an evil summoner.

The summoner took it. The summoner didn't pay.

The summoner is now using it to destroy the world.

Obviously, Durgrim has priorities.

He wants his money back.

As you embark on your debt-collecting journey, you craft your own weapons and engrave them with runes that determine the abilities you can use in our turn-based combat.

The fun part is that status effects can combine.

Setting something on fire is useful.

Covering something in oil is useful.

Doing both is significantly more useful.

And as you start combining more runes, effects and enemies, fights can escalate into ridiculous chain reactions that were definitely all anticipated by the designers.

We've recently started putting the game in front of a larger group of players and already have over 250 people testing it, finding bugs, sharing on our Discord and discovering increasingly creative ways of breaking our systems.

So I figured it was finally time to show it to fellow JRPG fans and see what you think.

Playtest:

Would genuinely love to hear what you think of the concept and cause our QA team emotional damage.

1080p video file but no option in quality

I've recently upgraded from a 2+ year old plex version to the latest and since I've had some strange issues. I have a video file that is 1080p h264, I think mkv with ass subtitles. It randomly starts it with only the following options:

https://preview.redd.it/76jft10adjfh1.png?width=219&format=png&auto=webp&s=6b8e7bd4fc08ef821786df69514c99d8643ade92

If I restart plex a couple of times it gives me all the options but it happens from time to time, especially if the file is recently downloaded.

My plex web quality settings are
Automatically adjust quality (Beta) - off
Video quality - 8mbps, 1080p
Play smaller videos at original quality - on
Use recommended settings - on

Core to Scale and Jails

I am on core still because i didnt realize scale was also free and I use some jails. Mostly plex which doesn't update anymore. I read that if I upgrade from core to scale, jails stop working. So is there any easy way for me to do it or do I need to backup plex, update to scale, create a container with plex and move my backup to that container? Also my ssd is 256GB and truenas OS uses like 10GB, if I upgrade to scale do I get to use more of it?

How I fixed it:

I managed to get it working, backed up Plex, updated via the UI to dragonfish which it changed my network card's name so the VMs couldn't see it. I run my router's controller there so I needed it running to get the ports setup. Then I had to setup the new paths which took a while cause i had to reverse engineer where the new app checks as it had it's own paths as well as plex to understand that data and config is correctly setup. Not to mention that it was going bananas with some movies because even though the scanner found the movie, it thought the subs were located in another location which i fixed by naming the mount the same as before. I slept at 4 in the morning and then another 3 hours 9-12 today 😂

Tried updating the Beast and they won't turn on again

I wanted to setup the spacewalker app and connected the glasses to my laptop after I downloaded the app. When it took me to the https://www.viture.com/firmware/update website, the glasses disconnected as the update was happening ( 2% ) and the system said they lost connection. I unplugged the usb, replugged it, they turned on but then disconnected again. Since they won't connect with any cable or to other devices :'(
