Is this hard top from a 380SL (1980s) worth anything?

Is this hard top from a 380SL (1980s) worth anything?

Back glass is cracked but otherwise seems alright

Have a chance to pick this up and not sure if it’s worth the pickup or not!

USPS; safe to pad orders with books?

Oddly enough packages under 3lbs cost more than heavier items.

I’ve seen some sellers put rocks in the box which I think is trashy, but what about books?

Only thing I worry about is people getting a few books and getting upset that it was included when they didn’t want it.

What is the point of getting current tags for my car?

Just moved here from Illinois. They had no issues when I transferred from another no-title state.

Had to get a property tax waiver, no problem. Spent an hour of my day dealing with that.

Went to the DMV , they told me that I need a copy of the title front and back. I don't have the title because the car is financed.

Called my bank, they said they can only fax over the info to the DMV.

Talked to the DMV and they said they don't have a fax machine...

Currently on expired tags and i've been trying to get this taken care of since Friday

Honestly with all the expired temp tags and plates, why even bother?

A bit of a rant, but now I understand why the plates are expired, the DMVs here make it damn near impossible to make your car 'legal'

Is it worth reporting squatters?

I’m not trying to FAFO but I noticed a boarded up house close by has some activity and today some Tweakers have been asking for someone over and over and the house is clearly abandoned.

Is it worth reporting these types of things or am I going to start some kind of turf war? Lmao

Neighbors gutters dumping water; is this an issue?

Just moved in and heard a lot of water.

Lo and behold the neighbors gutters are clogged and dumping water on the side.

So far my basement has been staying dry.

Is this an issue I should bring up to them?

Water in pan near inside evaporator in window unit: is this normal?

I have a TCL 10,000 BTU inverter window unit that I bought new.

I have had it run for two days and this level is as far as it has gotten, seems to stay here lol.

No water out the vents or onto the floor

Just wondering if this is normal

Building a gravel driveway in my back yard; against code?

Parking is really REALLY tight on our street.

Plus having to move for the street sweepers; pain in the ass.

So we have a garage but also have a second car.

Next to the garage is a nice piece of yard I could dig up a little, throw a weed barrier down and add some gravel, boom, easy driveway. Nice and uniform.

This would have flown where we used to live but is this ok to do in the city?

We live on a not so nice neighborhood so idk if I get any ‘it’ll probably be ok’ points for that lol
