I’m about 1500km into a 4000km road trip/move across country. I noticed my drivers side cv boot is torn and there’s about 1/8in of up/down play between the inner joint and the diff. I’m not planning on doing any off-roading and most of it is highway miles. I have the 3 inch rough country lift (I know I know) and I’m loaded with about 700lbs of stuff plus me and my partner. There is a noticeable clicking sound when going over bumps, especially at low speeds.

Will I be ok to make it the rest of the way? Or do I need to stop to get this repaired?

I’m looking for the lower b pillar trim and the felt material that covers the door seal.

Any advice on DIY fixes or where to source them would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all, I just picked this beauty up for next to nothing. I’m the 3rd owner and the last owner had it since 2007. He decided to get rid of it because he did a timing job at a shop 30k miles ago and the water pump is leaking again. It drives smooth as butter otherwise.

Obviously I’m gonna tear it down and get an eye on the timing but I had some questions since I’ve only owned the 400’s.

1. EVERYTHING body and interior wise is crazy expensive where do you guys source your parts?

2. How do I figure out my sub model? I’m thinking it’s a base since no navigation but it has features like heated and cooling seats, rear sunshade, rear heated seats, air purifier and some others.

3. Dents like what’s shown in picture 3 how/can I get them out?

4. Anything I should look out for with 200k miles? Other than the usual suspects.

5. I’ve heard Lseat has good replacement leather anyone have experience with their product? Since it’s perforated I’ve been having trouble finding any other replacements.

The wife has been giving me static about it since it’s pretty rough but I know I got a crazy deal and I’ll probably never part with it.
