Hong Kong really cooked with this one
No but seriously, what an absolute unit. Took it apart last night, cleaned out all the factory grease, and applied Slip 2000. Also finally got to install the muzzle device after the midwest rod came in.
I’m honestly impressed by how overbuilt everything is. It’s heavy, but it feels incredibly solid and confidence-inspiring.
MR762 A4 SBR: I'm disappointed...
...that my order from Rooftop Defense didn’t include a ramen packet.
All jokes aside, glad to finally have this home. 26 day wait time in Texas filed under a trust. Picked it up from Primary Arms this afternoon.
Any tips for removing the factory muzzle device? I read the newer models don't require heat/boiling, but I don't have a reaction rod on hand. I have a bench vice and plan on making some DIY wood/leather barrel clamps to isolate the torque and protect the finish. Anyone had luck with this method on the newer MR762s, or am I going to need to buy a dedicated rod?
SP5K ran flawlessly - Hows the ROF sound?
Got the chance to run my SP5K again yesterday and had the range gunsmith try it out as well. Wanted his two cents since he maintains and shoots their rental full-auto MP5s, and he said it felt just as good.
My new micro compact setup.
My first micro compact gun after carrying a Glock 19 for 4 years.
Also just realized today that I purchased the wrong sized optic for my new Shield Carry Comp slide. It's the standard EPS, so there is definitely some overhang on the sides of the slim slide but I'm thinking about just rolling with it. Doesn't bother me when appendix carrying and the window size is awesome.

Thoughts on purchasing MR762 A4 13”
So I’ve been seriously considering picking up the 13” MR762 A4.
I’ll be selling my MCX Virtus 9” in .300 BLK along with my LWRC 16” to help justify it. Over the years I’ve realized I really don’t shoot at distance much, which is why the 13” appeals to me more than the 16”. Realistically I doubt I’ll ever shoot past 200 yards with it, and honestly… I just prefer shorter guns. Plus the 13” just looks cooler to me.
I guess I’m looking for people to either convince me to do it or talk me out of it. Any regrets from people who bought the 13”? I know the MR762 is a heavy platform, but I also don’t plan on loading it up with a bunch of stuff. Just an Aimpoint T2 on a Unity riser, Modlite PLHv2, and I already have a HUXWRX Flow 762 Ti waiting for it.
How’s the recoil impulse on these guns? My MCX Virtus is kinda snappy with .300 BLK supers. Very smooth with subs obviously, but supers definitely have some snap to them. I’ve also shot a SCAR 17 before and honestly wasn’t blown away by it. The recoil felt a little more violent than I expected.
I honestly have no idea what I’m trying to get at here. I told myself I was done buying guns, but since I’m selling two to fund it, the MR762 A4 feels like a pretty solid replacement.
