My son’s US football club is tied to the town’s German social club, so all the team names are pulled from German teams. He ended up on team Bremen, so we are getting ready to follow the team. I figured I’d get him a jersey and solidify his fandom. The third jersey is fire!

Any suggestions on popular players that tend to be fan favorites? My son tends to be the goalie or right striker.

While our performance hasn't been magical, it is fair to say that we've faced very stiff competition in a difficult group. The tournament waits for no man, and FWFC had some early season growing pains that proved beneficial.

The match is nestled nicely between the FIFA games, so I hope everyone watches the game live or keeps me company here!

My son 11u made the jump up to a more competitive team. The coach really wants him to start talking more to “his” defenders. Problem is, neither he nor I know what he’s supposed to be saying or doing.

my sons has always just focused on saves and being good with his feet.

Anyone have any advice for how to approach this? Id appreciate any help or being pointed to any solid resources like books or YouTube.

What is the most unexpected thing about this team so far?

I’d say that our goal keeping has been a really pleasant surprise. I wasnt sure about Schipmann at the start but he’s really proven himself as an asset!
