I have a strong resume, but none of the recruiters I contacted (about 10) responded to me. Is this the norm currently in NYC?

33m, strong resume across a couple different professional disciplines where I carried out a wide breadth of different roles in management positions. I also have an economics degree (from Baruch). I'm getting ZERO interest from recruiting companies I sent my resume to, nor any interest from jobs I applied to. I also own my own company currently, so maybe that's a red flag, even though what I do now is harder than any job I'm applying to?

Is this the standard experience right now unless you are essentially in the top of your field of some niche skill or a l337 AI engineer or am I just doing something wrong? Only a scummy solar company made me an offer, but that doesn't count because they practically hire anyone with a pulse.

In NYC, do solar lease customers qualify for the PTA4 abatement?

Do only customer who purchase systems get the property tax abatement, or do you also get it for leasing? Hard to get a clear answer online

After a year of working on my gluten free chocolate chip cookie recipe, it’s finally complete

I had friends taste test them, and they say they wouldn’t even know they are gluten free - the best compliment you can get! Free samples available if you live in NYC

Is there a contemporary version of "just learn to code"?

Is there a modern version of this, now that learning to code does not result in guaranteed employment opportunity like it used to when the adage was thrown around constantly?
