Can I use a Canadian penny on a US machine?

I'm going on a day trip tomorrow and will be stopping at a couple of spots with machines. I had the idea it would be cool to get one or two using a Canadian coin. Has anyone tried before?

Found something new today that I never knew existed.

These are coal scatter tags. Companies used to dump these into their coal chutes before shipping product. Then when they loaded up the trucks they had a way of promoting and differentiating brands since all coal looks the same. Pretty cool!

Found my childhood bear!

I was researching some Avon dishes a couple of weeks back. While scrolling, I did a double take at this brand new bear because it's my bear "Orangie". I've had Orangie since I was a baby and had always assumed he was some generic bean bag toy from the dollar store or something. Needless to say I am very excited to have learned the origins of my childhood friend and bring home a brand new version of him!

Old Netflix comedy "horror"

There's a movie I watched on Netflix probably 15 years ago and I can barely remember it now. Every Google search brings me to better known films.

The plot is about a group of paranormal hunters who have a TV show. They purposely stage encounters and everything they film is fake. Then they get a call that turns out to be real. It was full of ridiculous humor and slapstick comedy from what I remember, nothing actually horror about it.

The only scene I can really remember is one of the main characters sitting in a car being attacked by something outside, he then gets distracted by having phone sex (yes, ridiculous humor). I want to say there was something about vampires? But I could be fabricating that part

Another vintage rescue!

Today I went to an older couples home to see some toys they were getting rid of. The husband had some of his childhood collection of cap guns and cars that he originally owned. I asked if they had anything else and I was brought this! A vinyl stuffed giraffe! They even had a photo of him from the 50s as a very small child holding it. I love that someone's childhood toy collection is now someone else's toy collection as an adult nearly 70 years later

Original owner collection haul!

A very nice old couple today told me they had some toys from the husband's childhood. We made a deal that both parties were happy with, and I brought it all home! It's awesome how someone's toy collection as a child is now a part of someone else's collection as an adult nearly 70 years later

WOO! Vintage score!

Found these at a rummage sale for only $10. Since the sticker was only on the large piece I asked how much everything else was and she said "oh, it's for the whole set". Happy day!

Salvageable?

Today I acquired a large lot of vintage pieces. I'm questionable about these few insides on whether or not they're still good. What do you all think?
