Growth in and around carrots, what is it and is it a bad thing?
When I dug out the last of my carrots recently I found this bluish-white mesh-like growth through much of the soil, some on the surface but mostly in the couple of inches just below. It didn't seem to penetrate the carrots and I could just let it dry and then brush it off.
I've not seen it before; what is it, is it a bad thing, is there anything I can do to stop it coming back?
