My latest Breacher Team is complete

First time trying to cel-shade minis period, working with such small models was a challenge, but satisfied for my first try at it.

Bionicle is up there with Ghostbusters in terms of "stronger than you think" settings.

Other Bionicle feats to take into account include;

- Pohatu vibrating through solid matter at full blast with his Kakama (a mask that Tahu has)

- Tahu's full-power Nova Blast decimating the Denmark-sized island of Mata Nui and it would've kept going even further if not for the shield that surrounded it.

- The 42 powers every Makuta has access to, almost all of which are completely unfair bullshit like being able to dodge anything any and everything, and Tahu fought at least 8 of them.

- Umbra giving the setting legitimate FTL feats. His power is going lightspeed, and he follows the physics of lightspeed travel (becoming pure energy) and is beaten by taking advantage of the physics of how light works.

Even if Kai takes the strength stat outright, I could still see Tahu snagging the win off of just how much more versatile he is.

How the Retcon Punch would have gone if Prime had fought Lord English

Superboy Prime's greatest foe: an even bigger manchild than him.

Hal Jordan vs Doctor Doom

The strongest willpowers of their respective universes, as well as a penchant for taking phenomenal cosmic power for themselves on several occasions.

Blue Dragonborn Wizard and his Warforged Monk companion

My local game shop is running dungeon crawl oneshots that me and a friend were interested in joining. So I spent the last couple days painted some Wizkids minis to go with the character sheets we both rolled up for the next session.

Thoughts on the hybrids from the Killer Species series?

Killer Species was a short series of 4 books revolving around a scientist going by the alias 'Doctor Catalyst' genetically engineering hybrid animals to combat invasive species throughout Florida. Each book revolving around different creations and purpose.

Pterogator: Created by splicing Gret Grey Owl DNA into the base genome of an American Aligator. Pterogators were created to combat the pythons and snakes invading the Florida Everglades.

Muraecuda: Moray Eel and Reef Shark DNA with the base genome of a Barracuda. Created to clear the Florida coast and reefs of the invasive lionfish.

Blood Jacket: Vampire Bat DNA enhancing the base genome of a Bald Faced Hornet. Specifically creatsd to cause havoc and show how horrible invasive species can be when they pose a direct threat and nuisance to humans after Dr. Catalyst's last 2 attempts at ecoterrorism and blackmail are foiled. However, months later these hybrids begin dying out rapidly likely due to the conflicting genome classes of mammal and insect.

Swamp Cat: Hyena DNA applied to the base genome of a Mountain Lion. Catalyst's final creation made solely to hunt and kill the teenage protagonist of Killer Species who regularly interfered with his plans.

Prime v Sentry very quickly becomes "Superboy Prime vs Wiz & Boomstick" if Prime is written even remotely in-character.

Death Battle embodies everything Prime hates most, and he's unquestionably self-aware enough to very quickly figure out he's in one.

Realistically, Superboy Prime just ignores Bob entirely in favor of beelining it for Wiz and Boomstick.

Build and primed a Hammerhead with my grandfather (WIP)

My grandfather used to be really into model building. Not mini building, but he and I used to build rockets and cars together when I was growing up. He's been diagnosed with Alzheimer's for about a year now. But he's been wanting to build a model together for a while, so I decided to introduce him to 40k models.

Had a great time putting it together with him. Happiest I've seen him in a good while. Didn't have time to paint it, but that'll be for next time!
