I'm seeing parallels

I just saw Pink Flamingos for the first time and I drew parallels between Divine, Cotton, and Cookie to Spaulding, Baby, and Otis. Especially, perhaps, because Captain Spaulding's and Divine's makeup are similar, ha. Maybe I am nuts, but I know Rob is a fella who loves his 70s and earlier cult films, and wears his influences on his sleeve, intentionally or not. And though different genres, I feel like there's a touch of Pink Flamingos in House of 1000 Corpses alongside all his other horror influences that often get brought up as inspiration (like Texas Chainsaw.)

Anyway, just curious if anyone else sees this too or knows maybe if Rob's ever even mentioned it outright.

Thinking of bringing friendship bracelets to Shoreline 7/20...

...but I've never done this sort of thing before and am kinda nervous. Going by myself so I thought it would be a fun way to force myself to talk to people and I've always wanted the chance to try it at a concert because it seemed really cute (this also seemed like the most friendship bracelet friendly crowd, big arena show I've ever been too) - but

- how exactly do people to this friendship bracelet thing? I read in some situations it's a 'trade' but I just want to hand them out. Do people just walk up to strangers and ask if they want one? I will be in the grass area in back so that might be a good spot to do it, but maybe also by the merch booth?

- how many is enough? Want to do some for Spiritbox and Nova Twins too, I like all these bands

- I like the idea of doing album or song titles + just the band name on a bracelet (maybe passing them out as duos? Like band + album or album + song or just one with no words to match.) but are there any other suggestions for what you' like to see?

And juts generally - anyone else going to the Shoreline show??
