I have to scrape the underside 3/4 times in order to cut my lawn once. Any fixes?

Call me a fragile snowflake because I literally felt offended. At first I was like ok Gerard Butler not typically known for being great w accent work but he had quite a monologue in that opening scene. Then Malkovich shows up with his unmistakable Malkovich affect and puts the least bit of effort into his lines. You mean to tell me the director/editor/producer all watched these scenes and felt they were passable to the audience? Bullshit. Turned it off after that. I read the movie wasn’t great anyway so not much missed

I have a Martin, a Gibson, and a really cherished nylon guitar and I'm looking at them right now in their cases. I use them for recording purposes but I want to have one that I can keep out guilt free within arms reach so I can just noodle around every now and again. Should I just get a Yamaha?

I loved having an insight into the filmmaking process of a particular scene or interviews with cast and crew about the struggles and creative solutions for the process. The DVD commentary for movies like Tropic Thunder and Armageddon have been legendary for over a decade now. Not to mention deleted scenes, blooper reels, all that jazz. Bring that shit back folks

I'm doing a full run of Cassavetes filmography and it got me thinking about how dialogue recording in particular has evolved over the years.

There's something nostalgic about those peaks in the audio when an actor raises there voice. And the differences in Dbs when dialogue is captured from a character off screen, a bit distant from the boom mic.

Clearly current microphones/editing technology have weeded out that method of recording coupled with the fact that a lot of films today utilize ADR in post. I feel we've lost a human element that's when you level the playing field sonically. Anyways go watch A Killing of a Chinese Bookie
