I am trying to reach as many survivors of Clearview a therapeutic boarding school in Montana! I attended in 2019. I have been doing a lot of advocacy on my platforms & with my connections in LA to support survivors and it would mean the world to me to bring us together!
I entered a competition to walk for a nonprofit organization in NYFW! It’s been soooo fun raising money for charity & I did a whimsical photoshoot for my campaign! I love dressing like a fairy or flapper girl sorta! I am not a professional by any means but I have been learning the art of photography, editing & editorial styling just for fun honestly!
being a woman especially an outspoken one can often times be very hard. i stumbled across a competition to walk a runway show for a nonprofit benefiting SA survivors & i have been working around the clock brainstorming how to win. it does seemingly feel like the cards are stacked against me, but i am determined. i am not interested in the prize money or being famous that sounds so stressful. i have found so much healing in knowing i am using my every strength to advocate for women & my community. i really did download reddit to find community & hopefully be able to help create some systemic change to improve the lives of millions. i have always been a deeply passionate person & it feels freeing in a way to focus on advocating for others! feeling hopeful & delusionally optimistic. i am determined to win, not for me really, but for everyone i can fight for!
Due to how passionate my hyper fixations on people can be I am VERY prone to severe limerance as a result of my ADHD. When I was younger I had absolutely no idea what was happening or why I was acting the way I was. Now I understand. Truly the only thing that has helped me has been learning neuroscience. Now that I understand dopamine is dopamine I realized I can just choose where I get my dopamine hit from. I can either obsess over some avoidant man I barely knew, OR I can enter a competition for a nonprofit and pour my heart and soul into it. That’s what I’m doing at the moment and it’s been the best idea I’ve had in a long time
edit: if you would like to support me in the competition, i have the link in my bio. my genuine goal is to represent nuerodivergent women & my community with the opportunity! i am not interested in the monetary aspects of it all. money comes & goes, making younger me proud is priceless! there is absolutely no need to donate anything, the whole competition is for charity for a nonprofit but the free vote option is just as useful! any & all support is greatly appreciated!
It’s only been a couple years since I started opening up about my experiences in TTI. As I have posted I am in a competition to walk a runway for a nonprofit and I am determined to win to represent us. I am feeling really blessed to have so much support by my side. Here is what I have shared on social media regarding my story. I am very open about my experiences as from what I’ve seen this horrific industry thrived in the shadows. I appreciate any words of encouragement and wish my luck! I am determined to win for us, for younger us ❤️🩹
I had posted in here prior that I am in a competition to walk for a nonprofit organization! I am determined to win to represent us on the runway and in the media! I am trying to raise as much awareness for our community as possible so I have made this infographic with information about the horrors of TTI, anyone is welcome to reshare/repost to spread awareness! I struggle with a lot of survivors guilt and it means everything to me to be able to advocate & represent the community. If anyone has any advice or words of encouragement regarding the competition I deeply appreciate it
My name is Yelena and I am a survivor of a residential boarding school in Montana! I have entered a competition to walk a runway in NYFW for a nonprofit that benefits SA survivors! There are 9 rounds total and I have made it so far to the 5th. I am not interested in the other prizes, I wish to represent us in the media and on the runway! It would be really healing for me, growing up there was no representation and honestly I tear up even just thinking about being about to represent my community! A lot of women change makers and public figures will be at this event and I really want the opportunity to speak up for us. Truly it would mean everything to me. I will attach the link to my competition page, people are allowed to vote once daily for free or donate to charity for votes. I also posted an Infographic raising awareness on instagram. We are so deserving of being represented and advocated for and I never in a million years would have thought I would be in a place to do so, but I’m trying. Being a TTI survivor is such a uniquely isolating experience and I want to change that. It would mean the absolute world to me if anyone and everyone who sees this could reshare or vote. Anything helps. Anyone is welcome to share my competition page or anything I’ve said regarding this. Truly I couldn’t care less about the cash prize for the competition, money comes and goes, but making younger me proud. That’s priceless ❤️🩹
