Just bought a seastar 1000 gmt quartz with rubber strap and when the strap is on the 6th notch, it feels too tight and uncomfortable but when it is on the 5th notch, it fits behind the ulna perfectly when seating but it slides down to my wrist where it feels too loose when walking. The best solution I found is to just wear it front of the ulna while on the 6th hole.
I also have a prx forged carbon with rubber straps and I don't have the same issue. Is this just the nature of diver watches because of their weight? This is my 1st diver so I am still figuring out the most comfortable way to wear it.
Thank you!
I bought this watch today for the equivalent of $98. For the price, it actually looks quite nice. I will most likely use this as my beater watch.
Since it will be father's day this Sunday, I decided to wear this for the whole weekend to celebrate him. He died on 2019 so this watch is very meaningful for me.
I work from home so I don't go out much. I wear my watches even when I am at home to msximize my enjoynent.
Bought my 1st automatic watch yesterday(Tissot). I had no plans of buying a new watch today but I passed by a Seiko store and saw a presage on sale so I decided to buy it.

This is my current collection so far. The lacoste quartz watch is the first ever watch I bought using my own money 12 years ago so I am keeping it for nostalgia. The gshock used to be owned by my dad. He passed away last 2019 so this watch is very important to me.

I am not a watch guy but I suddenly got interested with them. I am turning 40 next year so I guess that plays a part in my interests changing. I collect retro consoles and games but I am starting to lose my passion for it. I am feeling the same excitement for watches that I used to feel for retro gaming.
I posted a few days ago asking questions about automatic watches. I received a lot of helpful replies so I finally decided to get one. I was originally targetting the gentleman model but it was not in stock. When I saw the PRX carbon, I immediately fell in love with it.
I am not a watch collector or expert. I have always owned quartz watches so I have no experience owning a mechanical one. I am planning to buy my first automatic watch(most likely Tissot) and I want to make sure that I have all the facts before buying one.
I know that automatic watches need regular servicing. The question I have is how often should one be serviced and how much does it usually cost here? Can I bring my watch to any reputable watch repair stall or should I only bring it to a licensed service center for the brand?
I plan to wear it daily(even at home). It will basically replace my smart watch(except on workouts). I sometimes bump my smart watch on doors and walls. Will this be an issue for automatics? Should I be concerned with durability?
Anything else that I should know about automatics?
I am looking for a Tissot gentleman powermatic watch and I am wondering if there are any stores carrying it in Trinoma. I am open to other brand/model reccomendations as well(max budget of 80k). This will be my first expensive watch purchase so any advice is welcome. Thank you!
