Period hack with RSO

My uterus is trying to end me and I'm desperate for pain relief. I've seen videos and other posts of period-havers putting RSO in their belly buttons to help their cramps and I decided to give it a go. I'm getting ready to sleep but I will report back with updates while I'm still awake (if I stay awake) and then again in the AM.

Update #1: it's been about an hour and my abdomen is getting warm, almost like a built in heating pad. Also I realized I didn't tell y'all how much I used, but I got most of 0.1mg in there.

Update #2: I just woke up. I think I'm going to try a slightly larger dose tonight BUT cramping pain went from a 7/10 to about a 3/10. I didn't get stoned from it but my abdomen, lower back, and pelvic region felt a hell of a lot better overnight. It's probably going to take some trial and error to get the right dosage but I will be doing this again!

Strange poses when attending to incisions (nothing else gross is said past title)

I have had to hold some bizarre poses while placing gauze and also trying to hold my surgical bra. Oh and not to mention not having my full range of motion, which has made this particularly comical. Tonight I held my left side's gauze and bra area with my left thumb and forearm, I had the right bra strap between my teeth, my right hand managed the gauze placement, and I held bacitracin like a cig between my pointer and middle finger. I feel like I just ran a marathon so I'm calling it a night. Sleep well, everyone!

No nips has been more affirming than I initially anticipated

I'm (27, they/them) 8dpo and I'm absolutely in love with my results so far. I ultimately decided on not keeping my nipples due to trauma and goal size reasons, but seeing my chest without nipples gives immediate euphoria. I say that my gender/myself is an ever-changing and moving entity (specifically, genderfluid/nonbinary) and not having nipples has me finally feeling more comfortable in my body in a way I didn't know I needed. My body is beautiful.

I made a post in r/reduction about the surgery and recovery itself. If you have any of those questions, feel free to ask over there <3

8dpo

40I to hopefully a B with no nipple grafts. I had my first post-op appointment yesterday and got my drains out (thank goodness). Everything is healing as it should, I'm already feeling like a person again, and I can say for a fact that my back pain is significantly lessened. I got to take my first shower yesterday, which felt lovely after a week of sponge baths, and my new boobs have a little more give to them now. I'm slowly working on getting the marker off but I was told to not rub around my incisions yet and to just let the soapy water run over my chest when I shower. The pictures are accidentally mirrored so I apologize for that.

Recs for cute bralettes?

I'm only 5dpo but I want to start looking at cute bralettes so I can save them to buy later. Where are we getting cute and comfy ones?

Franken-boobs

I'm currently 3dpo and I keep laughing at how crazy my boobs look right now. Everything is healing well, I'm on the lower end of the pain scale, but the bruising and swelling looks hilarious to me. I very much look forward to seeing how they settle as time goes on. Has anyone else laughed at their franken-boobs while healing?

What is your favorite pairing with your genderfluid?

I love to have it with either a brown butter chocolate chip cookie or a side of rage. Depends on the day.

2 more weeks!!!

My surgery is on the 16th and I'm practically jumping out of my skin with excitement. No more needing to peel my 40I boobs off my torso, no armpit boobs when laying down, no more holding my boobs when cooking at the stove so I don't get burned, no more nipples being dragged through water on the sink edge when doing dishes, and no more nipples being closed in the washing machine (yes, it happens and hurts like the dickens)!!! I have almost everything ready to go, minus the meds and bacitracin. I cannot wait!!

Recovery recommendations that I might have missed?

My surgery is scheduled for mid-June and I'm incredibly excited (dreading the recovery though 😮‍💨). I have an ongoing list of things I still need to get but I've already purchased some things. I have a pregnancy pillow, neck pillow full body heating pad for my back and hips, bath wipes, and lots of Tylenol. I'm planning on getting wound care stuff (gauze, antibacterial soap for incisions, vitamin E oil when I can start treating the scars, etc), comfy cotton bralettes, a bidet (I already have chronic pain so I'm gonna need to move as little as possible), and edibles for pain relief. What else should/shouldn't I get?
