ICYMI, Hans Niemann won the super chess Rapid and Blitz as part of the Grand Chess Tour 2026.
Guess what, his collaboration with Kramnik is working wonders, he has defeated Gukesh, Fabi, Duda in Rapid and was undefeated. His blitz performance had a topsy turvy outcome, yet managed to win the tournament 🔥
This is the biggest win of his career. Winning 50k USD.
If not for Magnus' cheating accusation against him, he would have a different timeline, before this all drama, he had a rivalry against Arjun Erigaisi.
Fabi finished 2nd, just half a point behind Hans. It's tough to be a Fabi fan :(
PS - World Champion Gukesh finished at 6th place and took home 11k USD.
