What’s a good beginner light for documentary filmmaking?

I’m a super newbie - sorry. Sure I could’ve googled (and I have) but would love to hear from actual people.

I want to get into doc filmmaking/interviews.

I have a Canon EOS R10 and a Osmo Pocket 3. Is this an okay start to do some doc/interviews?

What’s a good beginner light to use to accompany these cameras?

My thought process: my canon is my A camera and my osmo is my B camera at an angle. Is that the right approach?

Mostly indoor shooting but ya know just kinda fumbling along and learning as I go..

Thanks in advance!

Built-In Billy Book Case: For those that have done it - what tips do you have that you learned?

Tomorrow is the day! My husband, father in law and myself will begin building/assembling my built in ikea billy book case wall…

What tips do you have?

What do you wish you’d done differently?

What tips do you have when it comes to building the base?

If there’s electrical sockets can we leave them be?

Also, my book cases are white..I’m going to paint later..

Thought process right now: build the base, assemble the bookcases, set them up on the base….trim(fill in gaps)/paint, later…thoughts on this process?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

First Cruise in Europe on the Odyssey of the Seas. Best experiences at each port? Also, Cats….

We want to do a European Cruise and this is the current one we have picked. We’ve done a little bit of research, but what excursions are there for the best experiences?

Also, I’m allergic to cats..not deathly, but I can’t cuddle/pet, etc..otherwise my allergies will start up. Specifically with my eyes; watery and puffy.

Had a friend let me know that they are absolutely everywhere..anyone w a cat allergy done well/ok while on a cruise to Europe? Note: My friend is also deathly afraid of cats..so he may also be exaggerating 😂

TIA for the feedback & suggestions!

None of us will be here in 100 years. What brands, companies, or random things do you think will still be around?

How do I get better at videography/filmmaking?

I USE THE OSMO POCKET 3

I know the answer is by doing/reps but it’s tough when you don’t what you’re doing.

I have a canon r10 and a DJI osmo pocket 3 (which I enjoy more bc it’s beginner friendly)

I want to get better at telling a story through what I’m shooting..instead of not knowing what the hell I’m doing, which is usually just getting random clips and trying to piece it together. And maybe I’m thinking about this too much…

\\\*Im usually just a show up and try to film w no direction..still learning the best settings

For example, I would like to do a small 1-1:30 minute showcasing our local park and what it offers.

In my head..go to the fields, the pool, trails, and etc and get shots from different angles and then put it together.

I mean that’s not too much story but idk..

i think since I’m still in the beginning stages of learning videography and filmmaking that i need to get enough reps just turning the camera on, filming, editing and do that x1000

sorry, slight rant and frustration..any encouragement/advice is appreciated

**TLDR/QUESTION: What are some everyday shots/sequences/angles that I can do to get to practice and tell a story? ones that i can do a million times?
