My poblano plant is thriving and made this absolute unit!
It’s been an incredible summer for this plant, I’m so excited to eat this one single poblano that the plant has been working so hard on!

I’ve had this rubber plant for several years, and I’ve never been able to get it to grow much. And it just looks like it’s sad.
I know it’s etoliated, but I do the best I can with a window and grow lights in the winter, and putting it outside in the summer. Outside, it gets a couple hours of bright light and several more of indirect. In the winter, it’s cloudy and rainy where I live and there’s only so much I can do with grow lights and what it gets through the window.
I think it also looks more etoliated than it actually is, because over the last couple years it’s dropped all the leaves that were lower down on the stem.
It has put out a couple new leaves in the last couple months since it’s been outside, though, and they look great!
I’ve included a picture of my ruby rubber plant. I’ve had it almost as long and it gets the exact same treatment, and it’s super happy. So I’m not sure what’s wrong with my burgundy.
Any ideas on how to make my poor burgundy happier? I appreciate any advice.
I didn’t find her, but this is from a Facebook group I’m in. She might be injured, but it looks like it’s not serious.
If you recognize her, let me know and I can pass the info on to the person who found her.
Edit: pupper is a girl
Edit 2: looks like OP has found doggo’s human! If by chance it’s not the right human, I’ll update.
Since I got this paintjob, I have not stopped cackling in delight. It’s on all my weapons. I love this 80’s-ass diva glam shit. I might never change my paintjob again, because how could this possibly be topped???
But to my dismay, it just kind of looks like a dull camo during missions. Where is my glam? Where is my savagery? ALAS.
We must remember it at its best, in the fluorescent light of the space rig. We mine, we kill bugs, we rock and stone, and we remember, for we are fabulous even when the lighting is dark and kinda green.
Rock and Stone, my divas Dwarves!
If you need to get to one, just let the driver know.
Take care of yourselves y’all. Make sure to hydrate.
They turn on if the person inside has something to say to you, so you know before you have to get close.
Maybe I’m the only one who didn’t know this, but if not…
You’re welcome.
Not asking for advice on how to get her to bloom at the right time, I’m happy to just let her do her thing!
And is it just me, or are those stigmas a little extra excited?
Went to Nehalem Bay, it was absolutely gorgeous but I did not enjoy the campsites being packed in like sardines and the bathroom lights shining through my tent walls.
I went to a lovely spot in the Willamette National Forest a few years back that I was thinking about, but I’d like to try a new place.
I’m in Portland, but driving 2 or 3 hours is no problem.
TL;DR: Anywhere I can car camp with a tent pad, a fire ring, some shade, somewhere I can hang my hammock, and some privacy?
Edit: potable water would be good, but no electricity needed. Bathrooms also not needed, I can pee just fine in the woods thank you very much.
It’s “Rogue.”
She’s all floppy and she has these rust spots all over her leaves. She’s also dropped 4 leaves that seemed perfectly fine, not any yellowing at all. Just the spots.
It’s weird because none of the plants that were near her are showing any issues at all.
I can’t figure out if it’s a parasite. It’s hard to tell because she was outside and she had some dirt and pollen on her leaves.
When she first started to flop and show these spots, I sprayed her down with insecticidal soap (and everyone else for good measure), and then about a week later she when still wasn’t looking good, I brought her inside.
I gently wiped both sides of the leaves down with water, thinking I could then could see bugs show up, but after a few days don’t see any pests, at least non that I’m familiar with.
I thought it might have been sun damage, but none of my other tropicals seem unhappy at all.
Any ideas?
He’s been here for a couple (real world) days and about 10 hrs of gameplay. I feel so bad for him!
I’m graduating (from grad school) soon and I have $100 for a dress. I haven’t bought a new dress in….a very long time.
It’s also hard to find dresses that look good on me because I’m short and have a small chest.
I’d prefer a brick and mortar store because online is historically iffy for me.
Any suggestions?
